The morning begins with a 5-kilometre hike through Mistérios Negros, known for its stunning lagoons and lush cryptomeria forests. This medium-difficulty trail features uneven terrain with a 100-metre elevation gain, making it suitable for those in moderate physical condition.
In the afternoon, you'll explore the unique geology of the island, including the interior of a dormant volcano, a fumarolic field, and the famous Gruta do Natal lava tunnel. The journey also includes a visit to the natural pools in Biscoitos, offering a refreshing break. Note that Algar do Carvão is currently closed for renovations, so this stop will not be included in the itinerary.
