We spent three fantastic days fishing with Manny on his Grady White boat in Terceira, eager for more. The first day focused on big game fishing; we didn't catch any trophies, but the delicious meal, wine, and great conversation made it memorable. The second day's ground fishing at the island's western point was a success, especially since Manny helped us cook our catch. Our final half-day near Angra do Heroismo was the highlight, where I caught four large triggerfish, and my travel companion Joe caught various local fish. Manny brought along a friend, Rodrigues, who later invited us to his home to grill our colorful haul, accompanied by tasty beans and rice. We enjoyed several bottles of wine, crusty bread with fresh cheese, and a wonderful meal, leaving us happy and satisfied. I highly recommend booking a fishing trip with Manny on the "Mary O" for an authentic Azorian experience. Thank you, Manny, for your warm hospitality, and special thanks to Rodrigues and Valentin for their generosity and friendship. Looking forward to returning next year.
Captain Manny was a delight—fun, knowledgeable, and very attentive. We quickly found ourselves watching an incredible sight of 30 dolphins swimming alongside us in their natural habitat. Our family enjoyed the experience immensely, and we will definitely request Captain Manny on our next visit.

This fishing trip in the Azores was fantastic. Manny and Antonio were excellent hosts. After four hours of catching fish, we drove in the jeep to a stunning roadside park where Antonio cleaned and prepared our catch. We also enjoyed local homemade dishes like Alcatra and Amelia cake. It was a memorable day.

My family and I had an amazing fishing tour with Antonio. We caught more than a dozen fish, which he cleaned for us. The boat was private and comfortable, and the captain took wonderful care of us. We only baited hooks if we wished. The views to and from the fishing locations were stunning. After fishing, Antonio took us to the northern part of the island where he prepared a feast using our catch. We savored a wonderful selection of appetizers, a main dish, and as many drinks as we desired. The dining setting was lovely, enhancing the whole experience. We are definitely looking forward to booking another trip soon.
We purchased the trip in the US, but unfortunately, weather conditions prevented us from taking part. We faced challenges with scheduling and were unable to complete the experiences due to the weather.
Fishing with Captain Manny was an incredible experience. As the captain and owner of the boat, Manny excelled at locating fish, making our morning truly enjoyable. We caught a wide variety, around five types, all at least a foot long, including a massive Moray Eel. After fishing, we were taken to Antonio's home in the hills, where he prepared our catch and provided additional dishes. He and his wife dined with us, and we all had a fantastic time with plenty of beer and sparkling beverages. Antonio proved to be a wonderful host, full of knowledge and engaging conversation.
We were thrilled with our experience; it was truly unforgettable. The captain was excellent, and Chef Antonio and his wife provided us with a warm welcome. We would definitely do this again.
