The guides were pleasant and the weather was ideal. Although the water level was slightly low, the experience was still enjoyable. Don't forget to pack bug spray and sunscreen.
We enjoyed white water rafting in early June 2025 with our children, aged 10 and 12, and it was an unforgettable adventure from beginning to end. The landscape around Telluride was breathtaking, and our guide Noah ensured we felt secure and ready, even for potential mishaps like falling out of the raft (which didn't happen!). The rapids were up to Class 3, and we rented wetsuits and booties that kept us comfortable all the way through. The guides were friendly, entertaining, and well-informed. It was the ideal combination of thrill, natural beauty, and family time. We highly recommend it!
Having participated in several whitewater rafting excursions, I found this one to be the most disappointing and least thrilling, especially given its high cost. Unlike other companies, there were no photographers to capture our experience. Additionally, there were no changing facilities, showers, or bathrooms available before or after the trip. The rapids were extremely mild, making it feel more like a relaxing canoe ride rather than an adventure. Our guide mentioned that they offer even less intense trips, which is hard to imagine since this one was far more subdued than expected. We hardly got wet, and the part of the journey dubbed the "climax" was only slightly engaging. While I do appreciate the professionalism of the staff and the beautiful scenery, I can't recommend this trip unless someone is looking for a very gentle and uneventful experience.
Corbin was an excellent guide. My family of three, including my two 12-year-old daughters, had never gone white water rafting before. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We felt well-informed about what to expect, thanks in part to Lauren, and Corbin provided exceptional guidance while on the river, ensuring we felt safe. It was a wonderful outing, and we would gladly select this company and Corbin again.
We had an excellent time with Jason, our enthusiastic and supportive guide. The refreshing spray on a warm day, stunning views along Sawpit and Placerville, and unexpected encounters with dogs and kayakers made it memorable. It was great to see our two 16-year-olds fully participating in the outdoor adventure. We also enjoyed a solid arm workout and some rowing instruction. The whole team was friendly and genuinely put in effort to create an enjoyable experience. The playful water gun splash from a neighbor added a fun twist. I would certainly join again.
We had an incredible time on our first rafting adventure! Our guide Lauren was fantastic, providing encouragement and navigating us safely through challenging areas with large rocks. We can’t wait to go on another trip!
We had a fantastic time rafting on the San Miguel with Mild to Wild. Lauren was an excellent leader and guide, and the views were absolutely stunning. Highly recommend this experience.
Last year, we tried this for the first time and enjoyed it immensely. This time, we opted for the morning to experience faster waters. Despite a text the night before about lower water levels, we decided to go for it, and we were thrilled! Corbin and Julian were fantastic guides, bringing a fun yet safe atmosphere. We are so glad we went and highly recommend Mild to Wild Rafting; it’s an experience you won’t regret!
The rafting experience was incredible, and the team consisted of highly skilled guides. Our guide, Julian, was outstanding; I enjoyed getting to know him and appreciated his teaching style and leadership on the raft. I highly recommend them and plan to book another trip soon.
I have some rafting experience and was thrilled that this trip was just as enjoyable, if not better, than my previous ones. It was a lot of fun, and Noah was an excellent guide. I plan to return next year and might go a bit earlier since the water levels were quite low.
