Remote-hosted mindfulness adventure focusing on creativity and connection with nature, not an eco-tour or hiking excursion.
This activity along the Rio Grande is hosted remotely and emphasizes creativity and connection with the natural landscape rather than a traditional guided tour or scavenger hunt. You’ll engage in unique exercises designed to enhance your mindfulness and appreciation of the environment. While the host provides interesting background about the area, they will not delve into the ecological specifics as a biologist would.
It's important to note that solo participants should be comfortable exploring hiking trails independently, as there won’t be a group to join. The host connects with participants via WhatsApp, ensuring a personal touch throughout the activity.

As a traveling artist from Texas, I was immediately drawn to this listing, but I never expected the journey to be so beautifully unfolding. The scenery along this part of the Rio Grande is breathtaking, and I found myself deeply appreciating it with each step and creative activity. I am thankful to Tara for providing such an incredible experience. I will certainly come back to explore further and even camp in this remarkable area.
Our family had an incredible time on this adventure! As enthusiastic hikers, we were looking for a fresh way to enjoy the outdoors, and it exceeded our expectations. Tara was fantastic, presenting entertaining and engaging challenges as she guided us through stunning sculptures, the beautiful Rio Grande, and a scenic snowy hike. We brought along our two children, aged 6 and 8, and our two dogs. The scenery was lovely, the atmosphere serene, and the scavenger hunt was so imaginative. Tara was attentive throughout, ensuring we had a memorable experience. If you're eager to try something different and connect with nature in a unique way, we highly recommend this hunt.
My 11-year-old son and I enjoyed a special nature experience under Tara’s creative guidance. Away from the typical paths in Taos, Tara’s thoughtful prompts helped us connect through laughter, insightful conversations, and moments of silence, creating lasting memories. I am truly thankful for this unique experience.
We thoroughly appreciated the time spent in nature and the stunning views from the hilltops. A tip for summer visitors: head out early in the morning to avoid the heat. Don't forget to wear a hat, apply lotion, and bring water.
This activity was a wonderfully enjoyable mix of creativity and physical exertion. We spent around 45 minutes to an hour at the Arthur Glenhill studio, admiring the artwork by the Rio Grande and inside his home. We had a delightful conversation with his wife Diane and worked on our creative tasks led by Tara. After that, we embarked on a moderate 4-mile hike with beautiful views of the river while keeping an eye out for cacti and the temperature. For hot days, it's best to start early in the morning, but the schedule is flexible. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
Tara designed an exceptional expedition for our family that exceeded our expectations. We wanted to recharge and explore Taos' nature in an unconventional way, and her thoughtful plan really delivered. Thanks to her local connections, we accessed stunning private areas along the river owned by a delightful artist couple, giving us the freedom to explore at our leisure. The hiking trails were impressive and offered different lengths to suit our preferences. The itinerary included a variety of activities for everyone, allowing us to engage however much we wanted. This experience was ideal and set a fantastic tone for our vacation. Thank you, Tara!
Enjoyed discussing art and life with Arthur while also getting to see his artwork. We likely wouldn’t have discovered that beautiful hike without his guidance.
