Rio Grande Gorge Bridge
Taos, USA

The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is a striking steel arch structure that spans 1,280 feet across the Rio Grande, standing 650 feet above the canyon floor. Completed in 1965, it is one of the highest bridges in the United States and offers impressive views of the rugged gorge carved by the river over millennia.
Visiting provides opportunities for photography, with the best light in the early morning or late afternoon. There are nearby hiking trails along the gorge, as well as areas for picnic and contemplation. Be mindful of wind conditions, which can be strong atop the bridge.

“Billy served as our river guide, and he's exceptional—highly skilled and well-informed about the area. As a couple in our 60s, this three-hour trip was ideal for us. The rapids were mild yet provided just enough thrill. The scenery was stunning. Thank you, Billy; we had a great time.”— James_H on the Half-day white water rafting on the Rio Grande tour

“If you're thinking about booking this tour, go for it. It’s an excellent way to enjoy the drive to Taos, made even better by our guide, Linda, who was well-informed about the area, including where to visit and dine, as well as how to navigate the sites. Although the weather in May was unusually cold, rainy, and even snowy, Linda adapted quickly, customizing the tour to suit our needs. She kindly lent my mom a rain poncho and a walking pole to help her navigate the uneven terrain. I strongly endorse Heritage Inspirations! The company is woman-owned, and Linda was exceptional. The owner, Angelisa, is very helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate about the region. She took the time to address all my questions over the phone to tailor the perfect tour for my mom and me. The day before, she also offered valuable suggestions for local dining options with better parking access. Relax and enjoy a day filled with stunning views, fascinating history, and outstanding service. I'm really happy we chose this experience.”— 435keris on the Half-day cultural tour of Taos tour
