The safari is unforgettable, featuring an informative guide who brings you close to the elephants, followed by the chance to feed them at the orphanage.

We had a fantastic day trip with everything organized smoothly from our pick-up in Hiriketiya to the national park and back. Although the early start at 5 am was tough, it was great for avoiding crowds and heat. The safari was outstanding, featuring a variety of bird species as noted by our guide, as well as crocodiles resting by the water and elephants that came surprisingly close, though we kept our distance. Our kids, aged 5 and 8, thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend this relaxing tour. We did face some issues booking through TripAdvisor due to our Airbnb's location not being listed for pick-up, but a quick call led to helpful support, and we arranged for a pick-up just a five-minute walk away.
The safari to Udawalawe National Park was fantastic; we encountered a large variety of birds, crocodiles, and elephants, and our guide was skilled at highlighting everything. We were fortunate to see so many animals. Afterwards, we visited the Elephant Transit Home, where it was wonderful to observe the elephants. However, previous reviews mentioned overcrowding, and I found it disappointing as several families with loud children disrupted the experience. It was unfortunate that the home’s staff did not manage the noise, which detracted from the visit, and I felt sympathy for the baby elephants enduring such commotion. Perhaps there should be age restrictions for younger visitors.

This trip is a must-do if you have the opportunity. Seeing elephants in their natural habitat, along with a variety of other wildlife like crocodiles, kingfishers, monkeys, mongoose, herons, and bee catchers, was incredible. Watching the baby elephants being fed was a touching experience that we'll always cherish. Sam from Bentota Travel Mart communicated effectively, providing all the necessary details promptly. Our guide Ishan was outstanding; he was punctual, courteous, and very knowledgeable. His driving was exceptional, ensuring we arrived at all locations right on time. The car was impeccably clean, had great air conditioning, and Ishan even opened the door for me at every stop.
This tour was incredible. Sam was prompt and clear in his communications when we arranged the Udawalawe safari. We encountered numerous elephants up close, truly the highlight of my trip. It was the best day! Our driver picked us up at 4:30 from Hiriketya and was both kind and professional. The lunch served was also tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend this company, and thank you, Sam!

The transfer service between Bentota and Udawalawa was punctual and quite comfortable. Our driver, Mineshaft, provided a safe and supportive experience. The park tour was organized well, and the guide was eager to show us more than just elephants. The highlight of the day was the baby elephant feeding session. I highly recommend Bentota Travelmart, especially Sam Perera, who kept us updated throughout the booking process.
