This was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip. Experiencing two safaris in one day was both enjoyable and convenient. The pickup from our hotel in Tangalle and the arrangement of safari jeeps at both Yala and Udawalawe were seamless. Both parks are essential to visit. The company also provided a wonderful lunch and ensured we spotted everything in the parks. The three drivers were exceptional. We highly recommend this tour. It felt ethically conducted, as they avoided crowding the animals and had a park ranger monitoring the situation. Although we were close to the animals, they were free to leave at any time, and we appreciated the respect shown towards them. If we could change one thing, it would be to skip the calf milk feeding in favor of spending more time in the parks. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
The two parks offer distinct experiences, both are definitely worth visiting. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, and our knowledgeable guide made sure we saw a leopard. It was a very enjoyable trip.
This was an excellent outing that I would definitely suggest adding to your plans. Make sure to bring a phone, sunscreen, and water. We had a wonderful day filled with laughter.
The driver arrived on time and ensured we reached each destination safely. He made additional stops for us to enjoy some extra sights. The lunch provided was quite pleasant as well.
Experiencing both parks in one day is a fantastic opportunity. I highly recommend it; we could rest in the transfer car and be well-rested for the safaris. Yala is stunning, but be sure to request a private experience without other vehicles and venture off the main road. We encountered many animals, though the leopards were napping during our visit. Make sure to pack: - a warm sweater or a light jacket for the chilly mornings, even on hot days - a quality face mask to filter out diesel fumes from the cars - binoculars - sunscreen - a hat (you can find nice safari hats at the Udawalawe stop for 1500 rupees)
We were eager to visit both parks in one day and after reviewing several companies, we chose this one due to more favorable feedback, which made us feel confident. I'm so glad we did, as it turned out to be a fantastic experience. Within thirty minutes of booking, I received a WhatsApp message with all the day’s details and an invitation to ask any questions. There were additional messages the day before, which was comforting. Our driver was exceptional throughout, taking great care of us and regularly checking if we needed water, coffee, or comfort stops. At both parks, we had a private safari truck just for my husband and me. We encountered many different animals, and the highlight was a baby elephant that approached our truck in Udawalawe. The safari truck driver took great effort to ensure we had the best views of the animals up close. The trip also included a picnic lunch that turned out to be a surprise three-course meal at Reds restaurant. The friendly staff served delicious food with plenty of choices, including vegetarian options. I strongly recommend this tour operator for a memorable and stress-free experience.
This trip was truly fantastic, taking us to two distinct parks, each offering its unique atmosphere. There were many chances to see both wildlife and birds. Despite it being a long day, there was time to rest in the car, and overall, the experience was definitely worthwhile.
This extensive day trip was truly amazing. Our driver, Pasidu, picked us up at 4am and was very organized, professional, and courteous. We were thrilled to see our first elephant at Udawalawe, not knowing we would encounter numerous elephants at both National Parks and the orphan sanctuary. We also spotted crocodiles, various monkey species, water buffalo, deer, and even caught a glimpse of a leopard. The knowledgeable guides identified these animals and highlighted a range of beautiful birds, including bee eaters. I highly recommend this excursion for anyone with limited time; it was a fantastic experience.
The tour was thrilling and well-organized, with incredibly dedicated and friendly staff throughout the day. We encountered many fascinating animals, with Yala being particularly captivating, featuring beautiful leopards, buffaloes, and elephants among others. The local lunch provided was very good. However, the baby elephant milk feeding visit was somewhat disappointing due to a lengthy wait and lack of proper introduction or information. It would have been beneficial for someone from the center to welcome the guests and explain its purpose and what we would witness. Overall, the guide provided exceptional care during the entire 17-hour day.
The double safari day experience was incredible. Our day began with a 4am pickup from Beruwala, but it was definitely worthwhile as we witnessed elephants at sunrise. Lunch was provided at a restaurant between the two parks, and all three drivers were fantastic, ensuring we had everything we required. We encountered a variety of animals, and our guides were dedicated to maximizing our wildlife experience. I highly suggest this tour for anyone wanting to explore both parks in a single day.
