Reviews
The tour operator decided to cancel the tour at 6 PM the night before it was supposed to take place. This late notice was very disappointing and unprofessional.
A tour guide is not necessary for this experience. Although our guide was friendly, he mainly showed us the streets close to our hotel. He didn’t offer anything that we couldn't have discovered on our own at our own speed. Aside from a few charming old streets, there isn’t much to see in Takayama, making the guide's presence somewhat unnecessary. We completed the tour in roughly five hours.
This tour provided a fantastic opportunity to explore Takayama and gain insights into its history, culture, crafts, and food. Our guide, Akane Ito, was incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and highlighted the best spots to see during our one-day visit.
I had a fantastic full-day excursion to Takayama and Shirakawa-go, led by our guide, Akira Hishida. He was exceptionally informative and enjoyable to be around. I highly recommend any tour conducted by Akira.
Elvis, our wonderful guide, led us on an enlightening exploration through the streets of Takayama, where we learned about the captivating history and culture of the area.
The location we explored was stunning, and our guide was exceptional and very helpful. My family found the trip to be quite enjoyable.
Yoshi provided an excellent experience as our guide during the Autumn festival in Takayama. He created a customized itinerary that covered all the festival highlights, ensuring we didn't miss any special locations we wanted to see. We also enjoyed a delicious beef barbecue lunch at a hidden gem that we would never have discovered on our own. His charm and knowledge made the day delightful, and we were disappointed when it came to an end.
Our day in Takayama was fantastic, thanks to our guide Yuriko (Lily). She provided a wonderful and educational experience, going above and beyond to make our tour enjoyable. The lunch spot she selected was excellent, and she ensured our transportation for a special request was punctual. We would gladly book another tour with Lily in Japan. She was impressive.
I had a fantastic tour of Takayama with Yoshi. He spoke excellent English and had a deep understanding of the region. I highly recommend this experience.
Akane Ito is an excellent tour guide who is not only knowledgeable but also has a fantastic personality. She ensured that the tour addressed all our interests and fulfilled our curiosity. She's the ideal guide for exploring Takayama.
