I had a fantastic online tour with Yama-San, who provided insightful explanations about Takayama's unique culture. We also virtually explored the largest sake brewery, gaining valuable knowledge about the brewing process. I strongly recommend this experience to anyone looking to connect with local culture. The tours are a perfect length and reasonably priced. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
My family enjoyed a 45-minute Old Town Walking Tour with Yama-san, who proved to be an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable and responsive to our inquiries. The duration felt just right for an introductory exploration of the town, and I highly recommend it.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable and patient, highlighting many fascinating aspects of Takayama. Since it was early morning, the old town streets were not crowded, allowing us to capture great photos. Beyond the Old Town, we learned a lot about the local history and were pointed to various shops and attractions for further exploration. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Takayama who wants to learn more about the area.
The guide provided a wealth of knowledge and was very helpful. It was an excellent introduction to Takayama, filled with historical context and enjoyable insights.
The tour was fantastic. Although we arrived late on our train to Takayama and couldn't drop off our bags at the hotel first, the tour agency was very accommodating. Yama was there, but I can't recall the name of the wonderful lady who guided our tour. I truly enjoyed the experience, especially the Sake tasting, which I did solo, and they even arranged a cab for us to the hotel afterward.
This tour was fantastic. We only had a short amount of time in Takayama, so we opted for the one-hour evening tour, which exceeded our expectations. The guide was excellent, as was Yama from the tour agency when we checked in.
Miyuki provided a wealth of knowledge about Takayama, suggesting several sake breweries and restaurants in the vicinity. I even spent an additional 15 minutes walking with her after the tour, which really helped me get oriented.
The tour of Takayama was excellent. Our guide, Takumi, shared numerous fascinating insights about the history of this lovely city and its founder.
The guide was knowledgeable and eager to respond to our inquiries. He offered a captivating and thorough account of the history of Old Town Takayama.
Fantastic 45-minute tour of old Takayama. A longer 1.5-hour option would be a great addition. Sato San, a local, was incredibly informative and knowledgeable. It was the quickest tour we've taken, yet it was still a wonderful experience.
