I thoroughly enjoyed the Groovy Geneva scavenger hunt. It was a fun way to discover some fantastic new spots in Geneva while having a great time.
We really enjoyed ourselves! We discovered places we would have never found on our own, and it encouraged us to leave the house and explore new activities and local businesses. Thank you.
We had a fantastic time! Our guide was excellent, and I highly recommend this for any small group. I enjoyed exploring Geneva and interacting with the welcoming locals.
I had different expectations for the Groovy Geneva scavenger hunt, based on a previous experience in Santa Barbara. Upon arrival at the designated parking lot for our 2:00 start, I informed them of our long journey. Communication began through texts, then switched to WhatsApp, requiring internet access for a PowerPoint presentation. The European phone number caused delays in replies. We were asked to send a selfie upon arrival, but mine failed to go through, necessitating a second photo with my friend, who arrived 25 minutes late. Weather conditions worsened dramatically, dropping 20 degrees with strong winds. By the time we got the actual hunt instructions, we waited another 15-25 minutes. I found it odd that the instructions were in a PowerPoint format while we were stuck at a coffee chain on a busy road, far from downtown, where the scavenger hunt was intended to take place. The first task to interview a local had no viable options other than the server at Tim Hortons, and the second task involved finding a mural in an area we were unfamiliar with. Frustrated, we quit the game. They offered a voucher for a future attempt, but I declined, not wanting to navigate a new area in bad weather for another two hours. The experience felt like it was managed by a distant company with limited attention to local details, and the presentation did not function well on my phone, which forced me to squint at the slides.
