These springs, situated 264 meters below sea level, are favored by both locals and tourists and are located in one of the world's most breathtaking desert oases. Each year, thousands come to bathe in the mineral-rich waters of the hyper-thermal waterfalls, which originate from winter rains in Jordan's highland plains and supply the 109 hot and cold springs in the valley. The water is heated up to 63° Celsius by underground lava fissures as it flows through the valley and eventually into the Zarqa River.
