• The King Abdullah I Mosque, with its blue dome, was inaugurated in the 1980s by King Hussein as a tribute to his grandfather and is accessible to non-Muslim visitors. The mosque features a nave that covers 1,615 m² and can accommodate 3,000 worshippers, characterized by its octagonal structure that lacks interior pillars. Its dome has a diameter of 35 meters and reaches a height of 31 meters. A source of radiation, shaped like a golden star, is located at the center, surrounded by the Ninety Nine Most Beautiful Names of Allah along the dome's neck. A suspended chandelier with 168 lanterns comprises three circles, each adorned with the word Allah from the Holy Quran appearing on every lantern. The mosque's walls, including the Kiblah, pulpit, and Mihrab, are finished with wooden and marble oriels, while a red carpet crafted from ornamental textile guides worshippers toward the Kiblah. • Jabal al-Qala is one of the seven hills in Amman, historically significant as it has served as the ruling seat for the Ammonians, followed by Greek, Roman, and Byzantine occupations until the Islamic conquest in the 7th century AD, which led to the construction of the Umayyad Palace atop the hill. Mount Qalaa is recognized as the capital of the Ammonians. • The Roman Amphitheatre is situated in eastern Amman, at the base of Mount Jufa, directly across from Amman Castle. An inscription in Greek on one of its pillars indicates the amphitheater was built in honor of Emperor Antonius Pius, who visited the city in 130 AD. • Explore the historic city center and AL-Husseini Mosque. • One of Jordan's oldest sweet shops invites each visitor to sample unique and fresh sweets. • The Jordan Museum can be found in the modern downtown district of Ras al-‘Ayn. It showcases Jordan's history and cultural heritage through a series of well-designed galleries, serving as a national center for education about the Kingdom’s historic, antique, and cultural artifacts, presented in an engaging format that reflects Jordan's evolving narrative. • For automobile enthusiasts, a collection of vehicles and bikes owned by King Abdullah I, King Talal, and King Hussein in this museum spans the history from 1916 to contemporary times, displaying rare classic cars and motorcycles linked to the royal family. The museum offers electronic narration available in Arabic, English, Spanish, French, and German, along with a children's narration in Arabic.
