The tour with Kay Services was enjoyable, even though it was pouring rain. It might be better to avoid visiting during the rainy season since the site was flooded and the animals had been relocated to higher ground. Nonetheless, the guide was knowledgeable, and the temple was fascinating, offering great photo opportunities. The selection of war clubs was also impressive.
The issue wasn't with the village tour itself, but rather with how the scheduling was handled. One of our group of four was moved to a date four days later than when our cruise ship was in Suva. There was a lack of communication between the tour provider and the booking service.
Our expectations were exceeded once we met our guide, who was both friendly and professional. He took us to a quaint village, immersing us in its fascinating past, including cannibal history, turtles, and even friendly snakes. The century-old temple was a highlight. We are grateful to Kay Service for their meticulous attention, making our stay in Fiji a memorable one that we'd love to repeat.
