I had a fantastic day trip to Cairo and Giza, expertly organized by Raafat, who kept me updated via WhatsApp. My driver, Khalid, picked me up at 2:30 AM from my hotel in El Gouna and was always polite, navigating the busy Cairo roads with care. We reached Cairo around 7:30 AM and met my guide for the day, who was outstanding—fluent in English and very knowledgeable. Our first stop was the Egyptian Museum, which was incredible, though some artifacts were unavailable due to the museum's relocation to Giza, but the key pieces remained on display. Next, we enjoyed a short boat ride on the Nile, which was very enjoyable. After lunch in Giza, we visited the majestic pyramids, which were truly impressive. I highly recommend this tour in a private car; the long journey was very comfortable. A big thank you to Raafat, Khalid, and Hanna for her extensive knowledge.
We had a fantastic day in Cairo, largely thanks to our friendly local guide Halla. The visit to the Giza pyramids was unforgettable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the local food and coffee. The Egyptian Civilization Museum was also a highlight. It was definitely worth it.
The private tour was incredible, with the guide and staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it. The guide took me to additional sites not included in the itinerary, which was worth the extra cost. We managed to see everything in a single day. I suggest bringing snacks, drinks, and a blanket or pillow for the early 2 am pick-up to make the journey more comfortable and to maximize your day in Cairo before heading to Hurghada. Be cautious about taking pictures or purchasing items at the pyramids, as tipping is expected. Bring plenty of £5 notes (100 EGP) for tips. I tipped the driver and guide generously since they assisted me with some Egyptian phrases, which helped reduce haggling. Have a great time!
The journey from Hurghada to Cairo took 7.5 hours due to security checks, which wasn't the guide's fault; just something to keep in mind. Our driver Khalid and the car provided were excellent, making for a comfortable trip. The museum was impressive, and seeing the Pyramids and Sphinx was a highlight. There was an opportunity to get a panoramic view of the pyramids on a camel or horse carriage, which I found worthwhile, though be prepared to negotiate as they start with inflated prices. Rafat arranged a private one-day trip from Hurghada to Cairo for us. We have two kids, ages 6 and 10, and were initially concerned about a long bus ride, but were eager to see the pyramids. We left the hotel at 2 am and traveled in a very comfortable minivan where the children could lie down and sleep. The air-conditioned van had a TV, which was helpful on the return trip. Although the drive took around 7 hours due to lengthy police checkpoints, we arrived rested and started our museum tour. Rafat provided insightful information without overwhelming us. Being on a private tour allowed us to choose our itinerary and skip locations that didn’t interest us. We returned to the hotel before 10 pm, just in time for a late dinner. We felt safe throughout the day, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Initially, we were hesitant about booking online with an unknown agent but chose to do so after reading positive reviews. The trip was safe, with all fees transparently outlined in advance and no hidden charges. We would definitely choose Rafat again on our next visit to Egypt.
The service was outstanding from our two drivers and our guide, Rafat, who was very well-informed about Egypt's history and monuments. The 20-minute horse ride around the pyramids was enjoyable, with the option to extend it to 45 minutes. We captured great photos of the pyramids and the Sphinx, and the buffet lunch was a pleasant addition. Despite the lengthy journey, we arrived relatively quickly, and the air conditioning in the van made it more comfortable. There were regular stops for rest or snacks, and the itinerary included various activities with ample time for each. On the downside, the price seemed high for the overall experience, and it would be great if tourists could customize their choices and have the cost adjusted accordingly. Personally, museums aren’t my preference, but others may appreciate them. This trip may not be ideal for those who dislike long car rides, as it lasted over seven hours, which can be unpredictable due to traffic and police checkpoints. However, the van's air conditioning was definitely helpful. The drivers were accommodating if we wanted to make stops. While I had some concerns about the program and pricing, Rafat was an exceptional guide, making the experience worthwhile, and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Egypt.
We had an incredible day on our private trip to Cairo from Makadi Bay. Starting at 2 a.m., our driver Mamdouh got us to the museum by 8:30 a.m., where we met our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Hamdy. Afterward, we enjoyed a relaxing Felucca ride and delicious food, followed by a visit to a perfume shop without any pressure to make purchases. Visiting the Pyramids was a highlight, and Hamdy took numerous photos as we explored different viewpoints. We capped off our day with a view from the Sphinx. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we truly appreciated the efforts of both Hamdy and Mamdouh. Thank you for such a memorable day!
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Cairo! It was just the two of us traveling by car from Hurghada to explore the Pyramids, Sphinx, Cairo Museum, and visit a papyrus factory. Rafta was exceptionally knowledgeable and addressed all our inquiries. We highly recommend this experience and are already thinking about a return visit for the Luxor tour.
