The experience was truly a DREAM! The tour showcased stunning nature and was exceptionally well-organized with a beautiful blend of white and green. We felt secure and comfortable throughout, receiving excellent care. It was a truly unique experience. Our guide, ALFIO, made it even more enjoyable! I highly recommend it to anyone.
Uyuni surpassed my expectations; the service provided was exceptional. I highly recommend this tour. The agency was attentive throughout, and while the driver could have been a bit more personable, everything else was outstanding, particularly the hotel.
This was an incredible experience over three action-packed days. We were fortunate to be with a wonderful group, and Marco and Oscar were excellent guides. I highly recommend this three-day tour: the lagoons are stunning, the salt flats memorable, and the scenery is beautiful.
The 3-day tour provided a good exploration of the Salt Flats, adhering closely to the itinerary. Our guide, Eduardo, offered plenty of information at each stop. It would have been appreciated if the requests to take a few quick photos were accommodated. Unfortunately, our driver Alex did not speak English, leading to limited communication, though he drove cautiously, which made us feel safe. We couldn't open the windows often, although I'm unsure if this was due to a car issue or a window lock. On a positive note, we were pleasantly surprised to have private rooms with bathrooms (and hot showers) for both nights. The vegetarian meals were discussed and there was consistently enough delicious food. Unfortunately, the communication with the office beforehand was ineffective, as emails and messages via the app went unanswered. It's advisable to visit the office upon arrival in Uyuni to ensure you're prepared for the tour.
This tour is outstanding and absolutely essential for visitors. My driver, though young, was very friendly and excelled at his role. The guide and the other driver were also incredibly personable. Each day of the tour was enjoyable, packed with sights. The food and drinks provided were a delightful surprise, especially considering the tour's length. I truly loved this experience; it may have become one of my all-time favorites.
I highly recommend this tour. Our guide Jualberto was excellent, handling the tour with great professionalism. We were impressed by the numerous incredible sights included in the 2.5-day itinerary. The food was delicious, and while the accommodation was basic, it was clean and comfortable.
Traveling from Bolivia to Chile was a great experience. The tour was well planned, featuring comfortable vehicles and a knowledgeable guide. Accommodation surpassed our expectations with private en-suite rooms each night. The food at the second hotel left something to be desired, but it made sense given the lack of refrigeration. However, there was confusion regarding restroom access at the lunch spot on the second day. We were unaware that the free toilets inside the restaurant were off-limits and should have used the paid facilities outside. This led to our guide confronting group members in an unprofessional manner, which was disappointing given the overall quality of the tour. It might be worth considering a different lunch location, as the owner was unfriendly, or at least ensure clearer communication about restroom use.
The tour did not match its description, leading us to receive a 50% refund. Our group consisted of 10 individuals from three different booking platforms; four of us booked through viator and felt let down. The others used cheaper services with simpler itineraries but ended up receiving better experiences. It seems this company offers various itineraries but combines everyone into one tour. Additionally, the staff we contacted via WhatsApp and in the office were extremely rude.
This trip provided a thorough overview of the area and was a great way to experience everything. The guide had a decent grasp of English, showed courtesy, and accommodated many of our requests. We enjoyed ample time at various locations, although some, like the Uyuni Salt Flats, felt rushed due to our focus on group photos, leaving little free time. We had plenty of food, but there was a miscommunication on one meal when the guide forgot to mention that we should include him in the count, leading us to finish the food to avoid waste. The accommodations on the first night were acceptable; however, the second night was quite basic. Hot water was limited due to the remote setting, but it was advised that we all shower right after arriving, which significantly affected the water pressure. After dinner, I noticed that hot water was still available and the pressure improved significantly. My main issue was with making payments on their website. I encountered multiple problems, starting with the 20% down payment option which only allowed full payment. I then tried to pay in full using various credit cards from the USA, only to find out that cards from the USA, Canada, Russia, and China did not work. Ultimately, I had to pay cash. Payments in USD were accepted at face value, but the exchange rate for Bolivian BOB was much less favorable, so that’s something to watch out for.
The Uyuni salt flats are the highlight of the 3-day package, and the other attractions are equally impressive. Be prepared for a tiring journey due to the altitude, especially when exploring the stunning sights, but it's all rewarding. We traveled with Expediciones Arbor del Piedra and highly recommend them.
