It’s difficult to express just how much Jose from Joker Expedition and his team transformed our Bolivia trip. Without their unwavering support, we would have been stuck in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, missing out on the salt flats. Due to a flight delay, we missed our connection to Uyuni with no alternative flights. The airline staff were indifferent to our situation. Jose arranged a flight for us to a different city and organized a pickup five hours away so we could continue our journey. Although we lost a whole day, he crafted an itinerary that ensured we saw everything we had planned, even though we didn’t get any sleep, which we agreed to. After 30 hours of travel, they made everything comfortable, providing hot meals while checking for dietary restrictions—one of our companions was vegetarian, and they prepared her tuna cutlets. They came equipped for altitude sickness, and their knowledge was impressive. They took photos, were flexible enough to drive 17 hours in a day to cover all we wanted to see, and I can only imagine how the driver was handling it. Al, our guide, spoke perfect English and was passionate, intelligent, and caring. They even accompanied us inside the airport to ensure we were checked in. The attention to detail and communication exceeded expectations. I wish I could rate them even higher. If you’re looking for a trustworthy company that genuinely cares, this is it.

Salar Uyuni has long been on my bucket list, and this experience surpassed all my expectations. The natural beauty of the site is stunning, and Joker Expeditions provided outstanding service. As I was travelling with a female friend, safety was a priority. Our guide, Donald, was incredibly polite and had extensive knowledge about Uyuni's history and the sites we explored. The attention to detail was remarkable. I have a passion for wildlife, and Donald ensured we had respectful interactions with llamas and vicuñas, which were highlights of our trip. Additionally, Donald is an excellent photographer and captured the best moments for us.
We were on a tight schedule with only two days to spare, but the Joker team customized our tour to include the Salt Flats and Laguna Colorada, along with an exciting night in the desert. Álvaro, our guide, was highly knowledgeable about the region's wildlife, landscapes, and intriguing stories. Isreal and Chapu were both friendly and knowledgeable. The first day at the salar was a lot of fun, and Isreal assisted us with photos and provided lunch there. They then took us back to a comfortable hotel to relax before the second day. If you're pressed for time, I highly recommend the two-day option; we managed to do this within just a week.
We highly recommend taking a tour in Bolivia with Joker. We enjoyed both the 2-day private Uyuni Salt Flats tour, including Laguna Colorada and the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, as well as a 1-day City Tour in La Paz. Our guide in Uyuni, Oscar, has a wealth of knowledge and a passion for wildlife and geology. He captured stunning and professional photos and videos of us at the Uyuni Salt Flats. While I didn't share our images with people due to privacy, they turned out amazing. This experience truly felt like a dream come true. Silvio, our attentive and helpful driver in Uyuni, contributed greatly to our enjoyment. The staff at the Atipax Boutique Hotel were also very responsive to our needs. We had a wonderful day in La Paz with our guide, David, and driver, Diego. If you’re considering an unforgettable adventure in Bolivia, Joker Expedition is the top choice.
This was the best trip I've ever taken. Oscar, our guide, provided detailed explanations during the long drives and stops about the deserts, volcanoes, and birds. He even pointed out the stars of the southern hemisphere, proving to be an outstanding guide. Silvio, our driver, navigated a Lexus 4x4 for over 12 hours without showing any fatigue, making us feel completely safe. Additionally, he is a fantastic chef; together with Oscar, he prepared a delicious lunch in the middle of the Salar de Uyuni, creating an unforgettable moment. The hotel arranged by the agency was clean and warm, and the meals served were of high quality. They also permitted us to use a hotel room to shower and freshen up before our night bus to La Paz. In summary, I highly recommend them for a tour of the Salar de Uyuni and the surrounding deserts near Laguna Colorada. Look no further.
