Seven hours by car and on foot — explore Montpelier, taste maple syrup, and visit scenic villages along VT Route 100.
This seven-hour small group tour starts with a visit to Montpelier, the smallest state capital in the US, where a guided tour of the Vermont State House occurs seasonally, from early July to October. Outside of season, the tour explores the architecture from outside and meanders through downtown Montpelier on foot.
Next, experience a tasting at the family-run Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. The tour continues along scenic VT Route 100, taking in the picturesque villages of Waitsfield and Warren, including the historic covered bridge known as "The Big Eddy". A stop at the Warren Store offers a chance to purchase local food for lunch from its deli, bakery, and wine shop.

We had a fantastic private tour with Natalia, who was both friendly and well-informed. She guided us to the top sights and provided excellent suggestions for our future excursions. Her enthusiasm for Vermont and dedication to her role contributed to an amazing day. Thank you, Natalia!
Natalie provided great insights into the distinct commercial practices of my home state, Illinois, compared to Vermont, highlighting the local business culture. She also effectively showcased Montpelier and other small towns.
Natalia's extensive knowledge of Vermont made this tour an enjoyable experience. As the only couple for the day, we appreciated her flexibility with our time at each location. She offered excellent recommendations for our remaining activities. The waterfall in Granville was stunning, and our lunch at Warren Store was exceptionally delicious.
The tour was excellent. Natalia provided friendly and informative commentary. We saw stunning landscapes, delightful small towns, and the historic state house in Montpelier. It was enjoyable to have a guide so enthusiastic about her state. I highly recommend this tour.
Our day with Natalia was wonderful, visiting a National Historic home, enjoying lunch and shopping in Woodstock, and seeing a waterfall. The highlight for me was the glass blowing exhibit. I would definitely book this again.
We had a fantastic experience on Natalia's tour and can't recommend it enough. We booked the Montpelier and Mad River tour for the second Saturday in October, hoping to see fall colors, and it exceeded our expectations. Natalia was warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about Vermont. After a scenic drive, we met a couple from Texas, who made for great company throughout the day, exchanging travel stories. Montpelier, the smallest state capital, was an enjoyable first stop, especially with its golden dome reminiscent of Wawel in Krakow. However, the true highlights were the famous Covered Bridges and the beautiful river views sheltered within them, providing excellent photo opportunities. We had ample chances to explore at our own pace on flat terrain, which we appreciated. Our lunch stop allowed us to try local delicacies along with a refreshing beer. At the Appalachian Gap, we captured memorable photos of ourselves. Natalia shared a wealth of information and drove us back to our accommodation along Route 100, which now holds special significance for us. It was a fulfilling and enjoyable day, leaving us plenty of time for dinner in Woodstock. Thank you, Natalia, and we hope to meet again someday. Alan & Sally.
We thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful tour. Natalia greeted us warmly at our hotel, which set a positive tone for the entire day. Over the course of seven hours, we explored stunning, colorful landscapes and the renowned covered bridges of Vermont. She provided insightful descriptions of each point of interest as we traveled through charming towns and villages. While in Burlington, she also shared a number of restaurant suggestions. A standout moment was our visit to Simon Pierce Glass. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour significantly enriched our trip to Vermont. We encountered experiences and sights that we would have missed without participating in this tour.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. As first-time adult visitors to Vermont, it took us to places we would have never discovered on our own. Natalia was a fantastic guide, showcasing her extensive knowledge of the area. She conducted herself with professionalism, contributing to a very enjoyable day. The van was spotless, the schedule was well-organized, and Natalia ensured we had both fun and valuable insights about Vermont. We plan to book with Vermontology again for our trip next year.
We are thrilled that we selected Vermontology for our tour and were delighted with our friendly and well-informed guide, Natalia. The sights in Montpelier and the Mad River Valley were stunning, and we appreciated the additional insights on shopping and tasty food options, particularly at the Warren Store. The stops at covered bridges and the views of ski resorts were also very exciting.
