This was such an enjoyable experience. We saw dolphins and collected interesting shells. The crew on the boat was very friendly and assisted everyone in finding shells and sand dollars. It was definitely worth it, and I plan to do this again on my next trip to Florida.
The experience was fantastic with a wonderful crew and great atmosphere. I enjoyed everything about it, and the island felt very secluded with beautiful weather. My only complaint is that I wished we could have stayed longer at Shell Key, but overall it was an excellent experience. I highly recommend it.
The shell key tour was fantastic. I'm definitely planning to return for the longer tour of Shell Island next time. The water was stunning and ideal. We spotted dolphins and a sea turtle! There were shells everywhere, so be sure to bring a bag.
My family thoroughly enjoyed this shelling adventure. The boat ride was both safe and educational. We discovered numerous shells, sand dollars, and even live sea creatures.
This experience was incredibly enjoyable! I went with my family, and the boat ride was fantastic. We spotted numerous dolphins, and the crew was friendly and knowledgeable about the areas around John’s Pass and St. Pete. Once we reached the island, we discovered many shells and snorkeled for about an hour and a half before returning to the boat. They provided drinks, snacks, and complimentary shell necklaces. I highly recommend this trip for couples or families. An outstanding experience!
This outing with my family was a wonderful experience. The boat ride was enjoyable and smooth, and the captains were friendly and made us feel at home. We spent more than an hour on an island exploring the beach. It was a great time for all!
I felt a bit unprepared for the trip. I was hoping to find a shell picker-upper, as bending over is challenging for me due to my disability, but I couldn't find one. I also wish I had brought swim shoes and swimwear since the water was so clear and calm. Despite that, it was a delightful boat ride, and I understand why it's referred to as Shell Island. Be sure to bring a net for collecting shells and take a dip in the water! I even had a special moment when a Manatee swam close by.
Don't forget sunscreen. You can buy shell bags and snacks while on board. Their top priority is safety. We had plenty of time on the shore to look for shells, and as an added treat, we were entertained by a group of dolphins on our return to the marina.
Shell Island was wonderful, and we were thrilled to see dolphins. A highlight was creating a necklace from the shells we collected.
It was genuinely an excellent day. We had so much fun, and the crew was fantastic! Their knowledge about everything was impressive, and we enjoyed a wonderful experience overall.
