This tour was disappointing due to a lack of promised features. We went directly to Shell Island and back without seeing any mangroves, and there were no bathroom facilities. The older gentleman in charge could have provided more commentary about the area, but he didn't. His crew member spent more time on his phone than helping us board the boat from Shell Island. Overall, it felt like a waste of money.
The crew was welcoming, humorous, and very helpful. We spotted numerous dolphins, including some newborns, and the beach where we collected shells was stunning. I strongly recommend this experience.
This local day cruise was a fantastic 2.5-hour experience. It was enjoyable and soothing; we didn't want to leave. The water was clear, shells were abundant, and it felt completely uncrowded. We had an amazing time and could have easily stayed all day.

This is a fantastic, family-run operation. Capt John and his first mate Katie were amazing, blending fun with knowledge about the local area and wildlife. We enjoyed our morning shelling and snorkeling so much that we requested to join them again on the afternoon cruise. We had an entire day of fun aboard the Calypso Cat and collected plenty of shells. Highly recommend.
