Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve is a 245-acre sanctuary situated on the shores of Lake Maggiore in St. Petersburg, offering a blend of ecosystems including wetlands, pine forests, and upland habitats. Established in the 1970s, it features diverse wildlife and more than 6.5 kilometres of trails that meander through its various habitats. A visit here is ideal for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers, especially when the migrating species return in spring and fall. The preserve is accessible year-round, but mornings and late afternoons are best for spotting wildlife. Look out for the observation tower for great views of the surrounding area.
