What made this tour exceptional was the crew. They were all welcoming, and Glynn, in particular, made an effort to ensure that everyone felt included and comfortable. His humor and energy added to the memorable atmosphere, especially during the Screeching-In ceremony, which had everyone laughing and dancing. Whether you're in a group or going solo like I was, the crew made sure we all had a great time. It was evident that they genuinely wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. I highly recommend this tour to anyone in the area for the incredible views and exceptional crew.
I stayed at the ALT hotel, located on the Harbour, which offers fantastic views of cruise ships and other boats arriving. It’s essential to use the Hop on Hop off bus, costing $60 for two days, as you will need that time to reach all the attractions near St. John's. Be sure to visit the Duke of Duckworth for a drink and enjoy dinner at Oliver's, which is excellent. While there are no icebergs, puffins, or whales this season, it’s still a worthwhile trip, especially for first-time visitors.
Although we missed the whale sightings since it was late in the season, spending time out on the North Atlantic with Barry and his team was still fantastic. They were informative, entertaining, and took great care of us.

Dress appropriately for the weather. The Captain and crew are excellent—friendly and well-informed about the region. Joining the “Screeched in” ceremony was a lot of enjoyable.
