My wife and I, along with three close friends and a former crew member, Jimmy, and his wife Mary, enjoyed this cruise. The crew provided fantastic entertainment with Newfoundland folk songs, dancing, and three new SCREECHER'S. Although we missed seeing the whales, observing puffins and other seabirds was incredible. I want to express my gratitude for this wonderful experience.
Overall, it was a good experience. While we didn't see any whales, which is understandable given it was late in the season, we did spot sunfish, many puffins, and bald eagles. The guide provided a wealth of information, and the scenery was stunning; we even enjoyed some songs. Jane deserves a shout-out for being very entertaining. I would recommend this tour.
We really enjoyed ourselves, even though we didn’t encounter any whales. The weather was lovely and the water was calm.
The tour itself had no issues, with a convenient hotel pickup and smooth transport to the boat. Given that it was late season, Newfoundland's weather was a consideration; it was cold and overcast, although dry, and the water was calm. I was layered up but still felt chilly. Many like me came specifically for the puffins, and there were still plenty to see. However, they are quite small and quick, so capturing them clearly requires a large telephoto lens. I did witness a concerning incident with another passenger who had to disembark due to exceeding the boat's capacity, similar to an airline overselling tickets. I don't know all the details, but I assume he was offered a refund or an alternative trip. As someone a bit anxious, I did find that situation unsettling.
This tour was fantastic, featuring stunning landscapes, excellent bird watching, and the warmth of Newfoundlander hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the adventure.
The boat experience, customer service, historical insights, and overall organization were excellent. We were aware that seeing whales was unlikely late in the season, but the coastal scenery and Puffins made the trip enjoyable.
The entire experience was exceptional, from the warm welcome by the crew on the boat to the stunning views and the fun of being screeched in during the ride. We shared many laughs and will always remember this outing. I will certainly recommend this tour to family and friends. Thank you from the Shelton, Lagace & Jeffrey families.
An extremely enjoyable day filled with fun and adventure. I had new and unique experiences, and it was a pleasure to interact with such delightful people.
I had a fantastic experience on the whale watching trip. We spotted 5-6 whales and thousands of puffins. The crew was excellent and provided us with plenty of information. I look forward to going whale watching again soon.
We visited in mid-May, and while there's no assurance of whale sightings, we were lucky enough to see one. It was very thrilling. The staff was fantastic and highly entertaining.
