Reviews
The tour included three unique pubs in downtown St. John's, and the short walks between them were manageable for an 80-year-old. We sampled a variety of ales, IPAs, lagers, sours, and stouts with ease. Our guide, Melissa, was knowledgeable about the production differences and shared interesting local stories about the significance of beer in Newfoundland's heritage. It was both informative and enjoyable, and I highly recommend it.
Pierre excelled as a historian, and his engaging, warm demeanor made him ideal for this tour. He took the time to interact with us personally and went above and beyond to describe the surroundings to my blind husband. This experience is a fantastic way to enjoy local beers and explore fascinating pubs. We highly recommend this tour to our family and friends. You're fortunate to have such a remarkable employee.
Axel was an excellent guide. This tour offered a fun alternative to a standard walking tour, and we enjoyed sampling local beers as well. He shared a wealth of history and interesting facts about St John's. I highly recommend it.
This walking beer tour combined excellent brews, local history, and beautiful walks through downtown St. John’s. Our guide was entertaining, well-informed, and genuinely enthusiastic about the city and its craft beer culture. Each stop featured something special, with ample tastings and a friendly atmosphere. It was an enjoyable and laid-back way to discover the city—definitely recommend it to both beer enthusiasts and those wanting to learn more.
This experience was both informative and enjoyable. Pierre is enthusiastic and eager to share his knowledge about local beers and the history of St. John’s.
The group of five lacked enthusiasm, and the guide was just average. The low level of participation made things difficult, and he often had to refer to his book, which I didn't expect from him.
Our tour on June 27, 2025, was fantastic. Though I can't recall the name of our guide, he guided us with ease and was knowledgeable, sharing plenty of insight about the pubs we visited and the brewing industry in St. John's and Newfoundland.
The tour included visits to three pubs where we enjoyed sampling seven different local beers. Our guide was excellent, and the beer was fantastic too.
We had an incredible experience on this tour. David Peters was an outstanding host, very engaging and knowledgeable. His insights into the breweries and Newfoundland were impressive. We really enjoyed this tour and are glad we participated.
The beer tour guided by Pierre was the best experience of our honeymoon in St. John's. His deep knowledge of Newfoundland's history made the journey truly memorable. We appreciated the informal style, allowing us to engage in conversation and ask questions about our beer interests. It was also wonderful to bond with other participants; we even stayed at the final stop to enjoy dinner with a couple we met. I highly recommend this company.
