A 75-minute walking tour starting from the Convention Centre — explore Vancouver's rich history, local customs, and striking coastal views along the way.
This self-guided audio tour leads you through the vibrant streets of St. John’s, beginning at the Convention Centre. For about 75 minutes, you’ll stroll along George Street and historic Water Street, where colourful saltbox houses stand alongside cafés and breweries that were rebuilt after the 1892 fire.
The tour highlights local stories, including the famed “screech-in” tradition, and features notable landmarks such as the A TIME statue, Chinese Headtax Monument, Angel’s Corner, War Memorial, and Our Dogs statues located in Harbourside Park. Follow seaside paths through the Battery neighbourhood, capping your experience at the Battery Lookout with impressive views of the harbour.
Reviews
This was our first experience with a Voicemap tour, and we found it quite enjoyable. We appreciated being able to pause the tour for a coffee at Tosmart and other suggested spots. Our only letdown was not stopping at the Jellybean houses, which are iconic to St. John's. We would certainly choose other tours with Max Hill.
