José was excellent. The process was a fantastic step-by-step guide on the basic principles of sand building. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I would recommend it to others. Throughout the hour, we did bending, standing, and filled buckets with water. It’s a great activity for adults and older kids. Dive in and start your sand building journey.

We chose the right time to visit (October 6-10) as there weren’t many tourists around. Here’s my review in two parts: HOTEL: We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort in a third-floor room in the back building with a view of the water. The hotel is somewhat outdated, but we had direct access to the beach via a nice wooden walkway. However, every night the fire alarm went off. On the first night, I noticed no other guests were evacuating, so I called the Front Desk. The manager seemed unsure and said it was up to us whether we wanted to evacuate. Since he was not concerned, we stayed put until the alarm stopped after about 15 minutes. This occurred each night we were there. The next morning, when I inquired, the staff mentioned that the heat and humidity were affecting the alarm system. I want to highlight the staff's friendliness and helpfulness, and I appreciated the refreshments available in the lobby every afternoon. SIGHTSEEING/RESTAURANTS: I highly recommend visiting Lobo Del Mar Cafe, which became our favorite spot for drinks and food in the afternoons. Padre Island Brewing Co. offered excellent home brews and tasty food. All the dining establishments we tried had good food and service, but we realized there were too many options for the time we had. Definitely check out Sea Turtle Inc. during feeding time. Also, don’t forget to stop by the Visitor's Info Center, where we found the staff very helpful and received plenty of brochures.

Our Sandcastling Experience was fantastic! We picked up so many valuable tips and techniques for constructing incredible sand castles. The instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly. This is highly recommended for everyone, regardless of age!
