Be prepared for the weather. It was quite windy, and I was glad to wear long sleeves for warmth. The captain was very knowledgeable and provided in-depth information throughout the trip.

This experience is primarily a fishing trip, rather than a sightseeing tour. Not everyone can sit in the back on a bench; some participants have to sit at the front with no support. The 4¾ hour excursion included minimal narration. Although the captain is local and knowledgeable, I expected more insights about the area and its history. Had I known this prior to booking, I likely would have chosen a different option. The two-star rating accounts for a nice day, but I found Brownsville has a shrimp tour that provides much more information.
