Spend 45 minutes zipping across the Laguna Madre on a jet ski in South Padre Island. Rentals are available from 11 AM until 6 PM, but the last departure time may vary with the sunset.
Each jet ski can accommodate one additional passenger, provided the combined weight does not exceed 350 lbs. Texas State Law requires those born after September 1, 1993, to present a valid boaters certificate and ID, while those born on or before this date need only a valid ID. Be prepared to adhere to these regulations at check-in.

The experience was incredible. Normally, I'm not comfortable being far out in the ocean, but on the jet ski, I felt completely safe. I observed the instructor's techniques and found it easy to imitate his movements. I was able to stand, lie down, and make sharp turns at full speed, thoroughly enjoying myself. The instructor was also generous, taking photos and videos of my partner and me while jet skiing, adding to the fun, and he was just an all-around great guy. The only downside, which was really my oversight, was not adjusting the handlebars properly to avoid chafing on my skin while driving. If I had been mindful of that, it wouldn’t have been an issue. Overall, the entire experience was AMAZING!

It was a great way to spend a couple of hours. We had 45 minutes on the jet skis, followed by a beer and a snack at the bar/restaurant nearby. Do note that kids must be at least 18 and complete an online course to operate a jet ski. Our guide led us to the jet ski area and stayed nearby to help if needed, which was reassuring for the family. He even took some photos of us and sent them afterward, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was worth the time and expense.
Our experience here was disappointing compared to a previous water sports business we visited in South Padre Island. We had a 1pm appointment but were made to wait until 2:20. The property had several broken jet skis, and we noticed one that had a torn seat, reflecting poor attention to maintenance and customer care. The owner, a middle-aged woman, was unfriendly and not welcoming. During our instructions, a young man inadvertently got too close to a building while following their guidance. Instead of ensuring he was okay, the owner and her male employee yelled at him for a minor incident where the jet ski barely made contact with the building. Thankfully, there was no damage, but their reaction was unprofessional. We’ve tried other options for water activities before and regret giving this place a chance. The customer service was lacking, and the property felt cheap.

I highly recommend avoiding this company unless you are comfortable with being embarrassed and treated unprofessionally. Despite going through check-in and them seeing what my partner and I looked like, they waited until we were at the back, about to board the jet skis, to publicly ask us about our combined weight. The staff even questioned my partner's weight, implying he was lying. Ultimately, they claimed we couldn’t ride due to exceeding the weight limit and instructed us to gather our things and leave. The most humiliating part was that we were the only couple singled out, while others who were heavier were allowed on. I requested a refund since no alternative was provided, such as using a different jet ski, and was denied because the weight limit was stated in the waiver. I understand policies, but being called out and embarrassed like that was unacceptable. It’s worth noting that we merely estimated our weight and didn't expect such treatment.
