6Located in Playa Samara, the paths of the Werner Sauter Biological Reserve, will lead you to an amazing hiking tour. To discover Samara trails on a different light, our experienced guide will amaze you with interesting facts, regarding our biodiversity and its many wonders. Come join us to visit one of the only private reserves in Guanacaste. The tropical dry forest is one of the most vulnerable and rare biomes of Central America. In Guanacaste, the characteristic six month dry season leaves the land susceptible to wildfires that often devastate the forest and its wildlife. As if this was not enough, over the past 40 years widespread deforestation and large scale agriculture have reduced the dry forests to a mere fraction of what they were in the past.
7Barigona beach is a deserted beach. You will love to gallop on the white sand and its crystal clear water. We also cross the rivers, the jungle and the forest of Guanacaste to observe the Wildlife of Costa Rica. We will stop to talk about the fauna and flora as well as to make photo breaks and a small snack. A wonderful beach, white sand, animals through a wild forest where we will feel like alone in the world, lulled by the rhythm of the horses
8This tour is for all nature lovers. In this tour, you will have the exciting and wonderful opportunity to watch turtle nesting. Accompanied by a bilingual guide, you will walk along the beach in search of the turtles and witness the turtle nesting process at either Camaronal, Corozalito or Ostional Beach. It starts with the hole that the turtles dig, then lay eggs, cover them then go back to the sea. If you are lucky, you will see eggs crack open and see how baby turtles are born. This is a one-time experience you cannot miss. Please refrain from using bright lights, bright clothing and loud sounds, since we are in their natural ecosystem, we need to be repecful and aware.
9The Pacific coast is a perfect place for dolphin watching as these playful animals live in the area throughout the year. Around 8:00 a.m. you will be picked up by a guide and professional driver to start this adventure, heading south of Sámara beach where the magic begins. You can enjoy this activity aboard of an artisan panga. We will sail between 2 and 20 miles offshore, taking in the ocean breeze and the stunning views this paradise has to offer, while letting nature surprise us along the way. It’s common to spot turtles, dolphins, stingrays, and even whales during the season. After this unforgettable experience, our captain will choose the best spot for you to explore the marine life of the Pacific. The snorkeling location and water visibility depend on weather and ocean conditions, ensuring the safest and most enjoyable experience possible. Back on the boat, we will enjoy delicious snacks to wrap up the adventure.
