Reviews
My cruise couldn’t dock in Sitka because of maintenance problems, but I received a refund for the tour without needing to request it. This level of customer service is truly appreciated.
I've gone sea kayaking several times before. It was enjoyable, but overall just average. The guides didn’t seem to be wildlife experts, and there wasn’t a lot of wildlife to observe, aside from the salmon.
This was our first time kayaking, and it turned out to be a fantastic tour. They made the learning process enjoyable and straightforward.
The kayaking tour was rather mediocre, although the guides were outstanding. There wasn't much wildlife, aside from a few minks, starfish, and kelp. The trip involved paddling to a small area and then returning to the dock, with more floating than expected. This was my second visit to Sitka, and both excursions have been average. While the guides were friendly and skilled, the overall experience didn't meet our expectations.
This experience was incredibly relaxing and showcased the true beauty of Alaska, far from the busy cruise crowd. Rhee and Nathan were both professional and well-informed, sharing a wealth of knowledge about the local marine life and geography. The organization was excellent, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey, making it suitable for our diverse group, including kids and grandparents. It was definitely worth it.
We had an excellent experience kayaking through Sitka Sound. The scenery was stunning, and we even got to hold some sea creatures. Our guide was fantastic, and the equipment ensured we stayed safe and dry.
This was truly an exceptional experience, unlike any typical tour. It felt more like a gathering of friends, coworkers, and wildlife enthusiasts, all dedicated to sharing these beautiful waters with visitors. Allen Marine funded this morale-boosting event, crossing Crow’s Pass on DIB4 to reach the “Otter side.” Yesterday was wild. The energy in the air was palpable. I experienced a mix of exhilaration and apprehension as we were near falling tons from the sky, but we were never really in danger. The whales were aware of us and seemed to connect with our energy while adhering to marine protection regulations. “Vegas rules” applied, and they entertained us with an incredible display. It was a day that will remain in the memories of everyone lucky enough to be there. I apologize to my coworkers for rehashing Rashelly’s screams repeatedly, but we are still in awe of what we witnessed. A huge thanks to Jordan, Colter, Grace, the Captain, and Kira, the Lead Tour Representative. The entire team was not only skilled and enthusiastic but also remarkably friendly. This unforgettable experience has left a lasting impression on me.
This kayak adventure is perfect for beginners, as the guides ensure you feel confident and prepared. Our guides, Josh and Lily, were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife, which made for a fantastic learning experience. I highly recommend it.
The kayak tour was well-organized and featured guides who were both helpful and knowledgeable. We encountered bald eagles, kingfishers, sea lions, starfish, sea urchins, and jellyfish, making it a peaceful alternative to typical cruise shore excursions.
The tour was not particularly thrilling, but if you're interested in kayaking in the ocean to an estuary with a chance to spot a bald eagle or sea lion, this could be a good choice. It was raining heavily and quite cold during our outing, but the guides were friendly and well-informed.
