Emily, our guide, was fantastic. The Beaver Lake hike was stunning and peaceful, making it feel like we had the wilderness to ourselves. The beginning is a bit steep, but after that, it turns into a pleasant walk.
Hiking through the Bear Mountain forest was an incredible experience, with beautiful views of waterfalls, creeks, and the lake. I’m very pleased I chose this excursion in Sitka during our cruise. The scenery was breathtaking. Colton, our guide, was gentle, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, great with children too. We learned a lot about native plants and enjoyed sampling wild berries on the trail. My sons, aged 14 and 12, enjoyed the hike immensely. I highly recommend this adventure.
Chase was an exceptionally kind and knowledgeable guide. The hike around Beaver Lake, situated near Bear Mountain, was just right for intermediate hikers—challenging enough to work for the views but not overwhelming. The stunning old-growth forest truly highlights the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting it.
Brenna was an excellent guide—knowledgeable and fun. We hiked Beaver Lake with my family; it wasn't too strenuous but provided enough challenge for an enjoyable experience. Five stars!
The hike was amazing, thanks to our guide, Laura. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, making the experience wonderful. The trail was beautiful, and we enjoyed fresh berries during the hike. It was perfectly suited to our skill level, and the scenery was breathtaking. I highly recommend this!
This was an excellent way to experience Alaska. Our guide was fantastic—engaging, attentive, and truly enjoyable to converse with. She made an effort to choose the ideal hike that suited my wife, daughter, mother-in-law, and me.

Laura provided an outstanding experience from the moment we booked, communicating promptly and effectively. Our hike was excellent despite the less-than-ideal weather, and she even had a backup plan to visit the incredible Fortress of the Bear while we waited out heavy rain. Laura's expertise in local history and her focus on our safety and comfort made the day enjoyable, as she was both friendly and fun. It was a top-notch outing for our entire family, including our adult children.

This was a fantastic experience. Although there was a minor issue with the meeting time, everything turned out fine. We had Lilli as our guide for the hike, which was wonderful. The scenery was stunning, even in the rain. I highly recommend this excursion, but be prepared to do some climbing and hiking, as the area involves plenty of elevation.
