Our pickup was conveniently at the dock as we disembarked from the ship. There were snacks and water provided. We had close encounters with numerous whales, along with sightings of sea otters, bald eagles, and seals. Rick, our guide, shared his extensive knowledge about the whales and local fishing, as he has spent his entire life in Sitka. The boat was very comfortable, equipped with a heated interior and a bathroom for convenience. After the tour, he returned us directly to the dock in town. I highly recommend this experience.
This experience far exceeded what I anticipated. It was simple to locate Rick and his boat at the port. We encountered around 50 whales, a sea otter, a jellyfish, and even a bear. Rick is knowledgeable about the best spots for wildlife, and he also took us to a beautiful waterfall. He offered excellent insights into the animals and life in Sitka. Traveling with a child, I appreciated that there was a bathroom on board. I highly recommend this tour.

The boat was cozy, the ride was smooth, and the views were stunning. Captain Rick also supplied snacks and drinks, responded to our inquiries, and shared fascinating stories about Sitka and its wildlife. His professionalism and warm hospitality made this an enjoyable and memorable experience. This adventure was extraordinary and enchanting—definitely a must-do when in Sitka.

Rick was incredibly accommodating and amazing. Although I initially didn't find available spots on his calendar for our date, he promptly responded and arranged our tour. We spotted grey whales, sea otters, puffins, seals, and various birds at 30 feet away! If you're going whale watching, make sure to choose Rick's boat; you won't regret it.
