My friend and I had an incredible experience with Roy on our tour. We started the morning exploring the salt fields and a pepper farm, where Roy shared his unique stories, including his brief time as a salt worker. He took us to a more socially responsible pepper farm than the well-known "La Plantation," providing valuable insights into how these local industries integrate into daily life. His personal anecdotes revealed the complexities of contemporary Cambodian society, and his sense of humor made the day even more enjoyable as he answered our numerous questions about our journey. After lunch, despite the heavy fog and downpour typical of the monsoon season, Roy guided us up Bokor Mountain. We even encountered monkeys along the road. At the summit, we waited out the rain in a rest area, enjoying Cambodia beer together. Adding Bokor Mountain to our itinerary was a great decision; we discovered a stunning Buddhist monastery, a former retreat for French officials, an abandoned royal retreat, and a statue of a significant folk goddess, along with ongoing Chinese development projects. Roy’s expert guidance provided a valuable context to understand Cambodia's colonial history and contemporary dynamics. To top off the day, he invited us to his home for a wonderful meal with his family, which wasn't part of the tour, and we felt truly fortunate for such a demonstration of Cambodian hospitality. I highly recommend this tour with Roy; it was one of the highlights of our trip that we will cherish for years to come.
The views of the mountains, buildings, and landscapes are absolutely stunning. The guide was outstanding as well, providing a wealth of information about the history at each location.
Despite the poor weather conditions, we had a wonderful time on the tour. Roy was incredibly friendly, an excellent guide who took great care of us throughout the day.
The experience was incredible. Our guide Roy was outstanding—very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the region. I highly recommend both this tour and Roy.
Roy was an excellent guide, funny and knowledgeable, always ready to answer our questions. The day was packed with activities, and the refreshing mountain air was a real bonus.
Roy is a fantastic guide who highlighted all the key spots in the park while sharing some personal anecdotes. We chose this trip to add variety to our holiday, and it accomplished that goal. I'm sure the waterfall is even more impressive right after the rainy season, but we enjoyed stopping for food and a beer during our visit.
Roy and his team ensured we had an enjoyable day without any issues. It was just pure fun, and everyone appeared to be having a good time on the tour. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Our experience with our driver Roy was pleasant. The excursion itself was decent and lasted just half a day. It would be an improvement if a car or minivan were used instead, but overall, it was satisfactory.
Our experience in Bokor National Park was fantastic, especially thanks to Roy. His command of English was impressive, and he provided clear explanations throughout. He is one of the best guides we've encountered, and we highly recommend this tour.
Our day at Bokor National Park was delightful, especially with the added stop at a pepper plantation. The viewpoints are stunning, and each site offers a unique glimpse into Cambodia's complex history. The monastery atop the mountain is breathtaking. Our guide was exceptionally friendly and shared fascinating insights.
