Reviews
The tour was absolutely fantastic, providing a great insight into the Cambodian countryside. The driver was kind and spoke English well, making us feel at ease throughout the day. The local guide at the pepper farm and the cave was also excellent. I highly recommend taking this tour.
We had a wonderful day, thanks to a very friendly driver. Our favorite part was the Pepperfarm, but riding in the Tuk Tuk and experiencing the landscape and local people was also fantastic.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring Kampot and Kep on this tour. Our guide, Micki, a local, enriched our experience with his insights and even took great photos for us. He skillfully navigated the bumpy, dusty roads in a Tuk Tuk. A highlight was the spontaneous food tour at Kep's local market, where Micki introduced us to tasty local dishes. The visit to the pepper plantation, arranged by their team, was both fun and informative. Overall, it was excellent value for our money. We had to contact them for pickup details the night before, and it would have been helpful to know about the dusty roads beforehand to dress accordingly; perhaps that was mentioned in the details and we overlooked it.
The tour was excellent. Our guide, Micki, was very friendly and engaging, making it easy for us to converse. We truly valued his presence. The activities were enjoyable and fascinating, and we appreciated the diverse landscapes we encountered along the way. I highly recommend this experience.
Our driver and guide met us at our hotel in Sihanoukville and took us to Kampot. The road had a 20km section that has been under repair for five years, making the journey slow and bumpy. Despite this, our driver, Cory, was excellent and patient, sharing insights about both Sihanoukville and Kampot while answering all our questions. We found the salt field fascinating, and the Phnom Chhngok cave was remarkable. If you enjoy durian, the secret lake and durian farm are worth a stop. The pepper farm was intriguing but felt overly commercialized and extended. We paused for lunch in Kampot before heading back to Sihanoukville, again on the same rough road for an additional $50. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
Kari, our guide and driver, was friendly and well-informed, always wearing a smile. The two-hour drive from the cruise pier to Kampot included some bumpy roads, which were beyond the driver's control. The tour included all the planned stops, and despite the heat, we enjoyed our visit to the pepper plantation. The cave with the Hindu temple was also fascinating.
Our driver, Kari, collected us from our hotel in Sihanoukville and brought us to our hotel in Kampot. He also took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch and showed us some fascinating sights along the way. The trip was flawless. I highly recommend this company and driver.
This tour was exceptional. Our driver and guide demonstrated excellent professionalism, friendliness, and enthusiasm. They introduced us to places we wouldn't have accessed independently. I strongly recommend this tour; it was among the highlights of our three-week journey through Cambodia.
We had an excellent day visiting various attractions with our driver, Sophy, who was personable, spoke great English, and allowed us to control our schedule at each stop. Being able to stay longer or move on at our own pace enhanced the experience. The highlight was definitely the Pepper Plantation, where we discovered the famous Kampot pepper. Prices are high compared to what we pay at home, but the quality might make it worth the splurge. Additionally, watching salt being harvested towards the end of the day was a pleasant surprise, and even Sophy was excited since it was his first time seeing it. Kampot itself is a delightful town with lovely colonial buildings, making it a worthy destination. However, a significant drawback was that the initial price didn't cover the return trip to Sihanoukville. We were unprepared for this and ended up paying an extra $60 for the ride back. Although it's mentioned in the “not included” section, it's quite uncommon for a tour to drop you off without arranging a return, leading to what felt like an unnecessary expense since the driver had to head back anyway. In summary, while we had a great day, the unexpected cost left a negative impression, which is why I didn't give it a full five-star rating.
We arranged a private shore excursion from Sihanoukville to Kampot with Cambodia Tourist Car and were extremely pleased with their service. Our amiable driver picked us up at the Sihanoukville cruise terminal and ensured we returned on time. He skillfully navigated the bumpy, partly unpaved road to Kampot, where we met our guide, Roi. Roi was friendly and knowledgeable, with excellent English skills, sharing many fascinating insights throughout the trip. We first explored the Salt Fields, then the historic Phnom Chhngok Cave Temple, and visited a pepper plantation, enjoying an engaging guided tour followed by a delicious lunch. Overall, we had a wonderful experience in Kampot and an exceptional day.
