The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, adding a lot of interest to the trip. There were multiple opportunities for photos and breaks, along with stunning mountain views, a refreshing short boat ride in the cave, and a pleasant meal provided. The only downside was the limited legroom in the coach/mini van for taller individuals. I would highly recommend this experience.
Ormana village was the highlight for us. The locals were incredibly welcoming, and the authenticity of the village created a wonderful atmosphere. We could have easily stayed for an entire day. Unlike the commercialized spots at the beach, this place felt genuine. Exploring the cave was fascinating; I had often seen pictures of caves with lakes and finally experienced one firsthand. It was a perfect day.
The pickup was punctual, and the excursion was conducted with a small group of 16 participants. Our German-speaking guide, Ümit, was friendly and shared plenty of information without being overly talkative. The bus driver ensured a safe journey. Lunch was enjoyable, and the restaurant was clean. However, there were slightly excessive smoking breaks in areas where non-smokers had little to engage with. The tour extended over 8 hours, which could have been trimmed to 7 hours. It's important to note that traveling to the Taurus Mountains takes some time, resulting in considerable time spent on the bus. Overall, we were pleased with the tour and highly recommend it given the price.
This tour offers stunning locations, and the guide was professional, ensuring everyone was well taken care of while sharing fascinating facts about the sites and history. The food was delicious, and I made new friends along the way. I only wish it lasted longer. I highly recommend it.
This was a lovely excursion that included a trip to an ancient village and caves. Although it involves quite a bit of driving, it enables you to view much of the region. The tour guide was knowledgeable, which added to the enjoyment of the ride. While the destinations are quite popular and crowded, the boat ride through the cave was a definite highlight. Overall, it's a worthwhile excursion, but be aware that the suggested duration of 6 hours is too short; we actually spent 8 hours on the tour, which is useful to note for evening plans.
This was a lovely excursion. While the Altinbesik cave isn't the most breathtaking site, it's still worth a visit. The journey itself was enjoyable, and our guide Ümit provided us with insightful details about the land, culture, and vegetation. Our driver Ali even brought along a bay branch for us. The visits to local villages felt authentic and not overly touristy. Lunch was delicious, and I found it satisfying even without needing an all-inclusive option. Special thanks to our guide and driver Ali.
The journey started with a timely pickup from the guides who greeted us and confirmed our participation. The tour guide detailed the itinerary and informed us that the lake/boat/cave segment was closed. We continued our trip to Taurus Mountain. It would have been helpful to receive advice on how to dress for the occasion since my family and I were dressed for a boat ride and felt quite chilly at the mountain's summit. However, the views were truly breathtaking. The guide shared the history of various spots on the mountain and kept us well-informed in both German and English. We enjoyed a tasty lunch at a Turkish restaurant, but more meal options beyond chicken and kebabs would have been appreciated. The trip concluded with a visit to a quaint village where we explored an old school and mosque, and met a family running a business from their home, where we were treated to free tea by gracious hosts. Overall, the experience was quite enjoyable, but it was disappointing that the main attraction was abruptly canceled.
The cave boat tour may have been closed, but the experience of visiting the traditional button houses and the mosque was truly fantastic.
The bus driver was punctual and pleasant. Unfortunately, we couldn't visit the lake in the cave as it was closed for construction, which made the trip a bit less engaging. However, we enjoyed seeing charming villages and an old mosque, and the lunch was delightful.
I was promised a tour of the caves but didn't see any. The trip involved four hours of driving, which was dull, and everything was conducted in German, with no effort to accommodate English speakers. I would recommend avoiding this company. I requested a 50% refund but only received £10 back.
