What's the itinerary?+
• You will be collected from your accommodation and transported to Christ Church, the starting point of the walk. Christ Church is the second church established in North India. Constructed in a neo-gothic architectural style, this notable white building serves as a significant landmark in Shimla and features several beautiful stained glass windows. • As you stroll along the Mall, you will pass by the Gaiety Theater, which is built in a gothic style and is a heritage site that now includes an exhibition hall, an art gallery, and the original theater hall. Continue past the colonial-style General Post Office, a timber-framed structure among the six heritage post offices in India. Also notable is the wooden facade of 'Bantony,' which houses the police station. You will observe the former Imperial Bank, the Railway Board building made of cast iron and steel, and the striking red-stone chalet-style Gorton Castle. Additionally, you will see a few historic homes, including Kennedy House and Knockdrin. • The walk concludes at the grand Viceregal Lodge, which served as the residence for British Viceroys in India and currently accommodates the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. Following the walk, you will have lunch (beverages not included) at a local restaurant. After your meal, transportation will be provided back to your hotel.
