The busy bazaar, located on a narrow road adjacent to the Ridge, is well-known for its wooden decorative pieces and souvenirs. Many items are crafted by a group of Sikh carpenters who settled in Shimla over a hundred years ago. The market is particularly recognized for its wooden walking sticks. • This is Shimla's primary shopping avenue. Constructed by the British, the Mall is lively, featuring numerous shops, cafes, theaters, and restaurants. Visit the government-operated Himachal Emporium to find local handicrafts at affordable prices. • Just below the Ridge lies the Lower Bazaar. Stroll through its narrow, bustling streets filled with historic buildings. The bazaar spans multiple interconnected streets where a wide variety of goods can be found, ranging from souvenirs to fresh fruits and vegetables.
