This tour was exceptional, offering a variety of activities including a 4x4 ride for the sunrise, walking through an underground passage to see the impressive tower of light from 60 meters above, and enjoying breathtaking views of the rugged cliffs by the beach. I want to extend my gratitude to our guide, Dani, whose extensive knowledge of Java and Indonesian history, culture, and daily life made the experience even richer. We covered topics from local fruits to the historical aspects of Java's religions, and he always had fascinating answers and stories. I highly recommend this company and driver Dani. As practical advice for the cave tour, bring your headlight if you have one and consider packing a spare dry shirt in the trunk for after the walk.

Our guide Hibza was exceptional, going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and providing great company throughout the day.
Mr. Dani, our guide, was not only friendly but also knowledgeable and accommodating, going the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic experience. Despite rain creating muddy conditions in the cave, we were provided with muck boots and hoses for cleanup afterwards. It's wise to bring a change of clothes in case of slips. However, trudging through the mud added to the fun, and the sight of sunlight filtering through the cave was breathtaking. The lunch served in the cave, which included chicken, tofu, vegetables, and rice wrapped in banana leaves, was delightful. We started early for sunrise at Mt. Merapi, but we managed to catch some sleep en route to the cave, so it worked out well. Visiting the museum to see the effects of the 2010 eruption was both sobering and a highlight of the trip. Timang beach is not a typical beach, so swimwear is unnecessary. Still, taking the hand-powered gondola to the rocky outcropping to watch the waves crash against the coast was captivating.
Overall, I consider it a highly rewarding experience, featuring a variety of enjoyable activities. The staff was friendly, the transport was comfortable, and the food was delicious. However, in the cave tour, we anticipated more; the inside path was quite muddy and challenging to navigate, and the photos seemed more striking than the actual views.
The service provided was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we were overall satisfied with the trip. We highly recommend Maxi to anyone looking for a great experience.
