• The late afternoon, evening, and sunset times are the most pleasant periods in Ramon Crater during the warm summer months. This is a private experience exclusively for you. In summer, the meeting time is between 17:30 and 18:00 in Mitzpe Ramon; arrangements can be made to meet anywhere in the town or pick you up from your hotel. After a brief introduction and overview of the tour, we will drive south into the crater. Leaving the paved road, we will proceed along a 4x4 route that traverses the crater. Several stops will be made along the route, allowing us to exit the vehicle and closely investigate the desert, experiencing its unique ecosystem, observing local flora, and examining the varied colors of rocks, minerals, and fossils. • While traveling through the crater, we will ascend in our 4x4 to the scenic viewpoint atop Mt. Gewanim, known as one of Israel's most beautiful locations. From this vantage point, we can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the crater, with the stunning hues of the desert appearing even more vibrant during the "golden hour" at sunset. After taking photographs and appreciating the evening breeze, we will move on to our next location. • After a brief drive, as twilight transitions into night, we will arrive at a tranquil desert location. There, we will start a campfire, unwind, and acclimate to the darkness while brewing fresh tea and coffee and enjoying the refreshing summer night air. As night falls, we will guide you through the marvels of the night sky. With straightforward explanations, we will explore stars, planets, the Moon, constellations, and Zodiac signs. Our stargazing session does not utilize telescopes, but rather employs binoculars, a laser pointer, and other basic tools to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of the sky. At the conclusion of this activity, we will return to the town.
