Aldo was a fantastic tour guide. He had everyone introduce themselves, quickly creating a sense of family among us. His extensive knowledge of the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and the hidden routes connecting them was impressive, and he encouraged us to look out for each other. By the end of the tour, the feeling of togetherness and compassion really resonated with us all.
Booking was simple and communication smooth. The price was fair and it was less expensive to book directly with Detours, who also handled my extra entrance fee for the Grand Canyon National Park. The van ride was lengthy, but I appreciated not having to drive myself. I relaxed in the comfortable 13-seater van while our amiable driver and guide, Mark L, shared fascinating insights about Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and notable sites along the route. He also announced when it was time to relax, shifting to an excellent 90’s rock playlist. Mark kept us punctual and provided guidance on activities to enjoy at both the Grand Canyon (2 hours) and Sedona (1 hour). It was intriguing to observe the ecological shift as we transitioned from the Saguaro desert of northern Phoenix to the different forested landscape as we neared the Grand Canyon. For those with limited time to explore the Grand Canyon while in Phoenix, this tour is an obvious choice. It would also suit families, as there were ample restroom stops.
Jay was an excellent tour guide, providing a wealth of information about Phoenix. The scenic drive was fantastic, and the Grand Canyon helicopter tour was truly incredible. I highly recommend booking this tour; you will not regret it.
This tour was fantastic. Although it was a long day, the coach provided modern comfort, and our guide Elmar was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We had ample time to enjoy both the Grand Canyon and Sedona.

The commentary was both fun and informative, and every stop was meticulously planned and timed, allowing us to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The locations where we got out of the van were stunning and not crowded. Throughout the drive, every seat had fantastic views of the beautiful scenery, making it enjoyable to look outside, even from inside the van. The vehicle was comfortable, with great seating, space, and temperature, and the bathroom and food breaks were perfectly spaced out, so we never felt fatigued from the drive. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the Grand Canyon and Sedona in a day.
