This is an absolute must when in Arizona. Our tour guide, David, was exceptional and had extensive knowledge about the state and its landscapes. Upon reaching our spot, he organized food and drinks and even introduced us to some interesting critters he brought along. The starry sky was breathtaking, and with binoculars and a telescope provided by David, we got an up-close view of Jupiter, its moons, and Saturn's rings. We felt secure throughout the experience and appreciated his engaging personality.

This was a fantastic experience. I gained a lot of knowledge about Scottsdale and the desert. The animals that David brought really enhanced the experience. The starry sky was also stunning.
This was a truly fantastic experience from beginning to end. Dave was friendly and engaging, sharing plenty of interesting facts during the trip. The hiking trail was beautiful and straightforward to follow. He even brought out chairs and a cot for stargazing at various viewpoints, where we could use binoculars to see incredible details. Meeting some of his family’s pets was an added bonus. His knowledge of stars and constellations was impressive, and I would definitely do this again.
This experience far exceeded our expectations. David was incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and dedicated to making sure we had an exceptional time. It went beyond just stargazing; we were picked up promptly in a comfortable Suburban and offered drinks right away, then headed to the Superstition Mountains. David showed us stunning natural sites while sharing interesting insights about Arizona's landscape and history, even taking us through a Ghost Town. Once it was dark, we arrived at a stargazing location where he helped us get oriented with the night sky, providing cots and blankets for us to relax on while gazing up. He also arranged chairs for viewing the seasonal shooting stars. We were provided with binoculars, snacks, drinks, and more captivating stories during our time. On the drive back to our hotel, David shared additional insights about Arizona, rounding off a truly wonderful adventure that became a highlight of our week in the state.
The tour was enjoyable, and David was friendly and informative. We had a pleasant experience overall. However, I was disappointed that telescopes were not provided or utilized, despite them being mentioned in the description. I even inquired about them but received an excuse. It would be better to remove "telescopes" from the tour details if they are not going to be part of the experience.
We strongly recommend this tour with Dave, who provides a wealth of information about Phoenix and its surroundings, including its transformation over the past 40 years and even earlier. You'll learn about land formations, native vegetation, and wildlife, along with a layout of the night sky and a special telescope viewing of the moon. This experience was truly exceptional and well worth it. If we are lucky enough to return to Phoenix with family, we will definitely go again. Dave also offered convenient pickup and drop-off at our resort.
