We had an incredible experience with Teresa in Sausalito; it felt like spending time with a friend. She brought us to restaurants where we always had the best tables and ordered delicious dishes paired perfectly with drinks. Her friendliness and laughter made the outing even more enjoyable. We said goodbye with heartfelt hugs and the hope to meet again, just like good friends.
This tour of a beautiful town was fantastic. Viv was an incredible guide, sharing a wealth of knowledge about Sausalito and San Francisco along with fun, interesting facts. We really enjoyed the ample food and wine pairings, making it a perfect way to discover the city. I highly recommend it.
Our guide possessed extensive knowledge about Sausalito, the nearby San Francisco area, and wine, truly embodying a passion for food. My husband and I enjoyed the company of another couple on the tour, making the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant views were stunning, and each location had its own charm. This tour is definitely worth it.
This tour was a delightful experience. Viv, our guide, truly made the day memorable with her vast knowledge. Just being with her was enjoyable in itself. The food was excellent, and the wine was fantastic. We also had a wonderful time bonding with another couple on the tour. Having participated in around ten food tours, I can confidently say this one is among the top. It's a must-do!
There are positive and negative aspects to consider. On the positive side, our guide Viv was fantastic—very personable and knowledgeable about food, wine, and the area. The food was outstanding; I even returned to one of the restaurants afterward because I craved a specific dish, though the service then was poor, not during the tour. The scenery and wines were also wonderful. On the downside, I left feeling hungry. A couple we knew who eat similarly to us had a much fuller experience on a different tour. It's unclear why we didn't have enough to eat. This particular tour was arranged for us after our original was canceled. At the first stop, we shared a cheese board and each received a glass of sparkling wine, but there wasn't much food. The second stop had just one glass of wine for my husband and me to share, although we enjoyed the best clam chowder I've ever had. At the third place, we shared another glass of wine and split one entrée and an order of flatbread. Finally, at the last stop, we again split a dessert and port wine. We noticed the company profited $255 after covering food, wine, and tips. While I understand the business aspect, we enjoyed the experience but would have appreciated larger portions. Viv was exceptionally kind and provided helpful advice.
The restaurant options were excellent. I enjoyed the varied courses: charcuterie with bubbly, distinct clam chowder with rosé, gnudi with scarpetta, and bread pudding with white port. This was the highest food quality I’ve experienced on a food tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The walking was moderate on a beautiful route.
Viv, our guide, was both enjoyable and knowledgeable. The restaurants we visited offered fantastic food and wine. We tasted the best clam chowder we’ve ever had. Our experience started with Chandon bubbly and a cheese plate, followed by chowder paired with a lovely rosé, then delicious gnudi at Poggio accompanied by a great Scarpatta Barbera, and finally a unique bread pudding with white port on an outdoor deck. The views were stunning throughout, and Viv was an excellent conversationalist.
Wonderful weather, fantastic company, and delicious food made for an amazing experience. Our enthusiastic guide engaged with us rather than just speaking at us, bringing humor and energy to the historical insights shared. We explored four restaurants, a chocolate shop, and a museum, truly experiencing the waterfront from a culinary and cultural viewpoint.
My husband and I were the only participants on the tour that day. The food and wine pairings were enjoyable, but the food was outstanding on its own, especially the clam chowder, which was unlike any I've ever had. Our guide, Viv, was entertaining, insightful, and very knowledgeable. It was an outstanding experience overall.
It turned out my husband and I were the only participants in the tour that day! Our guide, Viv, was both knowledgeable and entertaining. We explored wine pairings and enjoyed incredible food experiences, particularly an outstanding clam chowder. It was a great time!
