Stepping into the world of the towering giants was truly enchanting. Visiting the Redwoods has been a dream of mine since childhood. While we considered Muir Woods, which is closer to San Francisco, it became clear from my research that it wouldn't meet our expectations, as those trees are younger and significantly smaller. Acknowledging the distance from San Francisco and wanting to maximize our two days, this tour was ideal. Our guide Mary arrived on time, and we made interesting stops along the route. Entering the Avenue of Giants was breathtaking. She guided us (my mom in her 60s, and three adults aged 25-35) through the trails and took family photos for us, sparing us the need for selfies or asking strangers to snap our picture. Our first day concluded at the charming Eureka Inn, which has hosted former Presidents and celebrities. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at a local pub, featuring one of the finest filet mignons I've ever tasted. On the second day, we ventured further north to encounter even larger Redwoods before returning to San Francisco. Our amazement continued as we explored the forests. Although both days were long—12 hours each—we cherished every moment. Mary, being a local, shared her extensive knowledge of the area, offering insights and stories throughout our trip. She provided suggestions and allowed us to choose what we wanted to see and do within our time frame. We couldn't have imagined a better adventure. If you're looking to experience the true Redwoods, I highly recommend this tour. It is worth every penny and moment spent.
