The history aspect of the tour was quite informative, and downtown Sarasota is lovely. However, compared to past food tours I've attended for the same price that included drink pairings, this one only provided water. Additionally, it featured only three restaurants, and for over $110 per person, I expected at least one more stop. The food was mostly good, except for some very dry tacos from one restaurant, which improved slightly with salsa. Overall, our group of nine left feeling underwhelmed.
I lead a group of women from Venice, and we love discovering unique experiences that include food. Over two days, 24 of us participated in the tour, and everyone had a wonderful time. We appreciated learning about Sarasota and trying out some exciting new restaurants. Thank you, Christine!
Christine was truly exceptional. We visited three fantastic restaurants during the tour, and her understanding of Sarasota's history was impressive. I highly recommend her.
We participated in this tour on a weekday with family members spanning three generations, aged 17 to 74. Although there was some walking, it was flat and easy for everyone. We dined at three different restaurants, enjoying a substantial amount of delicious food. Our guide, Christine, provided extensive knowledge about the area, sharing fascinating history regarding various art installations, philanthropists, and the city's founders. I’m very pleased we chose this tour, as everyone in our group of four had a wonderful time.
Christine provided an excellent insight into the food scene, culture, and history of Sarasota. The time passed quickly, and it was fantastic to experience Sarasota through a local's perspective. Christine is truly wonderful—kind, inclusive, and very knowledgeable.
Our small group of four had an amazing time with our tour guide Christine, who was lively and shared plenty of insights about Sarasota's history as we strolled through downtown. We made three fantastic food stops at Brick, Classico, and Comida, all of which were excellent choices. The food was delightful, and we were full after the second stop, yet we still enjoyed the third. Christine also highlighted other intriguing restaurants we hope to explore in the future. We gained a wealth of knowledge and had a great time. This tour comes highly recommended.
A fantastic way to enjoy downtown with friends or a partner. Our host Christine was knowledgeable about the area's history, taking us to several restaurants and sharing insights about them. As locals, we uncovered new dining spots. Thanks to Christine and the participating venues for a great experience.
This food tour exceeded my expectations. The quality of the food was exceptional, and our guide was both fun and informative. Her insights about the city and its businesses were impressive. To top it off, she surprised us with desserts at the final stop for our 45th anniversary, which was a delightful surprise. I strongly recommend this tour.
Christine proved to be an excellent tour guide with a wealth of knowledge. I attended the tour with my grandma, a 30-year Sarasota resident, who discovered a lot about the city's history and couldn't stop raving about it. The food was plentiful and delicious, so be sure to arrive with an appetite.
Christine offered an engaging tour that blended history, culture, and food. I was surprised to discover Sarasota's vibrant character, both historically and in the present. The mix of walking, culinary experiences, and art was fantastic.
