  Shattered Glass DIY Sarasota engages in misleading business practices, including bait and switch. Their website did not clarify that some board options would incur additional costs, specifically a lazy susan, which was our initial choice. We would not have enrolled had we known about the extra charges. The instructor did not inform us about these extra fees when she provided the lazy susan boards. Terms like "included" and "upgrade" were never mentioned in the shop. We ended up paying an additional $120 plus tax despite our dissatisfaction and lack of transparent information on their sites. Upon picking up our items, we discussed the lack of clarity with the shop owner, who dismissed our concerns and insisted they do not sell lazy susans of the size mentioned in class. Her response was hostile, and she refused to acknowledge the issues we pointed out or to refund the extra charge. Although she offered a full refund for the class and the undisclosed upgrade fee, they insisted on keeping our art pieces, likely knowing they could profit off them. We filed complaints with multiple agencies, including the FTC and the BBB, which has responded promptly. However, the shop owner continues to evade responsibility for her deceptive practices, insisting her policies are normal, which does not address the misleading information provided to potential customers.

  Jump right into this class without hesitation! The design process is entirely up to you, and it can be adjusted as you work on it. By the time you're finished, the final outcome might even surpass your initial vision.

  Awesome Experience & Results

  I have been eager to take a class like this for years, and my sister and I decided to join while we were in Florida. Although the fee is somewhat high, it is definitely worthwhile. The class lasts between one hour to 1.15 hours. The instructors were knowledgeable and supportive, and there are many options available. I strongly recommend enrolling; you won’t be disappointed. Just a note: you need to collect your finished product the following day.
