This three-hour semi-private whale watching tour from Monterey Bay accommodates a maximum of six guests, ensuring an intimate experience on the water. You'll have one of six comfortable seats to enjoy a remarkable view of the diverse marine wildlife that the bay has to offer.
Expect to see Humpback Whales, Gray Whales, and occasionally Blue or Killer Whales, along with dolphins, seals, and Sea Otters. Each trip is unique, showcasing the rich array of marine life and seabirds in the area. Guests are encouraged to call for individual booking if they don’t have a group.

The whale watching experience was incredible, the best we’ve had! Chris's Whale Watching at Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey provided an exciting three-hour tour. We observed three whales playing near the boat, surrounded by over 100 sea lions and birds enjoying anchovies. On our return, we even spotted dolphins! The crew was very helpful. Arrive early, as parking is challenging, but the experience makes it worthwhile.
Among all the trips we've taken, this one ranks in our top three. During the three-hour outing, we encountered numerous pods of whales. My husband and I captured over 50 videos of whales spouting, diving, and curiously observing us. Our guide, Chris, was both friendly and informative. This was a dream experience for us, and we strongly recommend it.
What an incredible day spent on the water with Captain James. For a comfortable and exciting adventure, I highly recommend taking an Ocean Safaris tour in Monterey. It was the best day of whale watching, where we saw whales, dolphins, seals, sea lions, sea otters, and more. I can't wait to return for the Great White Sharks in the summer.

James guided us on a RIB with six comfortable seats. Even though the other passengers canceled, he still took us out. It was an incredible experience with sea otters, sea lions, dolphins, and numerous humpback whales. The boat was quick and agile, allowing us to get up close to the whales as they performed and dove. This was a standout moment of our trip to California, and I highly recommend it.
I have taken numerous tours, but none compare to the experience we had with Captain James. Even if we hadn't spotted any wildlife, the tour would still have been fantastic, but we did see many amazing animals. It was a truly perfect day. I highly recommend it!
