I discovered Ride California through their Half Moon Bay route and was so impressed that I decided to try the Santa Cruz ride as well. It exceeded my expectations. Our approachable and knowledgeable guide, Joseph, led us through historic neighborhoods featuring Victorian architecture, the downtown area, and stunning coastal views. We also saw Natural Bridges, where monarch butterflies gather in winter, a whale skeleton near the Seymour Marine Center, Lighthouse Point, Santa Cruz mountain vistas, and the local skate park. Towards the end of our journey, we passed the Board Walk, and the Big Dipper roller coaster swooped down beside the bike path just as we rode by—almost as if it was planned. As someone who grew up in the Bay Area and visited Santa Cruz numerous times, this ride provided me with a deeper appreciation of the area. I highly recommend it to both locals and visitors.
