I had an excellent experience with this class. I will certainly explore more offerings from Adventure Out. Jack, our instructor, was highly knowledgeable about wilderness survival skills, and I gained a lot from this session.
Our team had an excellent experience during the one-day Survival Skills workshop in the Santa Cruz mountains. With ten participants, the private class size worked really well, allowing us to engage in a variety of activities that promoted interaction among everyone. Cliff was an outstanding instructor, and the process of arranging everything was incredibly smooth. They also took care of providing boxed lunches, including vegetarian options, which were conveniently delivered from a nearby restaurant for a reasonable extra fee. I would definitely recommend this for a fun team-building event or a family reunion activity.
I thoroughly appreciated the Intro to Wilderness Survival course. It accomplished its objectives by providing both valuable information and engaging hands-on activities. Building a debris shelter was particularly enlightening, and I gained a lot of practical knowledge from it. The challenge of creating fire with matches was also a unique experience; I found the whole process to be quite rewarding. Jack, our group leader, was outstanding, effectively blending his educational background with real-life experiences. His enthusiasm truly enhanced the entire experience. I now feel more confident about my ability to survive in the wilderness thanks to this class. Thank you.
The entire experience was fantastic, particularly the satisfaction of successfully making fire with a bow drill. Jack was an inspiring instructor with extensive knowledge and experience. I'm looking forward to the next class.
This outing was an excellent family experience. I gained valuable knowledge about wilderness survival. I now feel prepared to survive for a week if there were ever an electricity outage or conflict in the U.S.
