The walking tour in Capitola was exceptionally organized. The guides were informative and chose a fantastic variety of tastings from the area's top local businesses. Our family declared the clam chowder at Castagnola as 'the best ever.' The nuggets of local history made us feel like part of the community. The overall experience was enjoyable. Since the guides are new, they will likely improve with more tours. A new, attractive sign is definitely needed. They shared interesting historical facts about Capitola. We began at a wine bar where we sampled two excellent wines, then proceeded to various restaurants. The selection of bites was good, but a more thoughtful order would enhance the experience; we expected a structured meal sequence, starting with appetizers and moving through courses, but it was noted that it was meant to be equivalent to a five-course meal instead. The group was fun and engaging. At one point, we discussed the pricing, noting discrepancies among what people paid, and while it felt slightly pricey, I would still recommend it. I genuinely wish them success in this new endeavor.
This experience was incredibly interactive, and our guide was welcoming, making everyone feel included and part of the group. By the end, we formed fantastic friendships with locals, which was a delightful surprise. Unlike other similar situations where one might feel isolated, this time was engaging, comfortable, and friendly, offering great insights. The food and drinks were excellent as well. I would definitely join this tour again with the same guide. Thank you for providing my son and me with such a wonderful experience.
