My teenage children and I had a wonderful time getting to know our alpaca companions Fiona, Carmella, and Jasmine. Each of them had their own delightful personality, making our hike at Django Hill Farm enjoyable. Our host Bonnie was warm and attentive, showcasing her passion and expertise with alpacas—she truly embodies the spirit of the farm. We also received a few delightful surprises at the end. I strongly recommend this tour.
This experience was truly unforgettable! The Alpaca Walking Adventure at D’jango Hill Farm in Carmel Valley was exceptional. Bonnie provided an engaging and informative introduction about alpacas, enhancing the experience. With small group sizes, each participant enjoys a personal connection by walking with their own alpaca, creating a special atmosphere. The stunning property allows time to interact with, feed the alpacas, and capture photos. Bonnie and Mike demonstrate remarkable kindness and genuine care for their animals. I highly recommend this to any animal lover or those seeking a fun, unique activity.
This experience was incredible. Bonnie and her husband possess extensive knowledge about alpacas and llamas, and all the alpacas were friendly and soft to the touch. We enjoyed a lovely hike with our alpacas, pausing at the summit for snacks for both us and the alpacas, as well as some photo opportunities. We also had the chance to meet other animals on the property, including the llamas. If you decide to join this activity, it's advisable to wear sneakers or hiking boots and pants, as you'll be walking through some wooded areas with your alpaca.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Bonnie, the alpacas, and other farm animals. Bonnie spent around 45 minutes sharing her knowledge about the alpacas and various farm animals. We enjoyed the company of two adorable dogs while she talked about her and her husband’s farm. After that, we embarked on a hike, each of us walking with our own alpaca, with Bonnie instructing us on how to handle them properly. Although it rained during our break and feeding time, Bonnie provided us with snacks and water. Despite the weather, our small group embraced the rain, and we were still able to pet and feed the alpacas. After completing the hike, we visited some other animals. It was a delightful experience that I would happily repeat, as it was worth every penny.
This experience was truly amazing. We loved learning about alpacas and trekking with them in the natural surroundings. The owners are incredibly kind and made the animal interaction memorable. We strongly recommend this adventure to anyone who enjoys animals and nature.
This experience was truly the highlight of my trip. Bonnie is an amazing host, and the introductory talk was fascinating. The hike through the property offered stunning views, and I loved walking my own alpaca, each with its distinct personality. With a small group and charming alpacas, this is definitely a must-do if you're in Carmel Valley.
What an amazing experience! The scenery was stunning, the trail was lovely, and having my own adorable alpaca made it all the more special. Bonnie is an excellent guide, clearly passionate about what she does, which made the atmosphere feel intimate and easy-going. Being in small groups is a plus as well. I left feeling more enchanted than I had anticipated. I highly recommend it.
I had a fantastic time on this experience. Bonnie and Mike were excellent guides, providing us with comprehensive insights into alpaca history, biology, and husbandry. They were very informative and eager to answer our questions, enhancing our enjoyment of walking with and feeding the alpacas. We would love to return and try their Airbnb as well. Their dogs were also incredibly sweet and added to the delight of the visit.
Bonnie and Mike made for wonderful hosts and guides during our visit to the beautiful farm. They were both knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. We had a fantastic experience learning about alpacas and walking alongside them, and we also had the chance to meet and discover more about llamas. The animals were all very friendly. Thank you!
My wife and I visited Carmel looking to unwind, but we discovered the Alpaca Adventure and are so glad we did! We gained a lot of insight about alpacas and enjoyed a short hike, each of us accompanying our own alpaca. With only three couples involved, the experience felt intimate and leisurely, unlike other group activities. We had never walked an alpaca before, but we would definitely do it again. It was one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences we've had during our travels.
