The tour combined education and gastronomy beautifully. I discovered many things about Santa Barbara that I hadn't known before. It began with a wonderful wine tasting, featuring exquisite Bordeaux wines. The food was delightful, particularly the goat taco, although the noodles could have used more flavor but are easily enhanced. Captain Kirk was an energetic guide who clearly loves his work and shares his enthusiasm for this charming town through captivating stories.
We absolutely loved this tour. Our guide, Kirk, did an outstanding job! The food was delicious, and we appreciated the historical insights he provided.
Maddy was an outstanding tour guide—knowledgeable, humorous, and very engaging. We gained a deep insight into Santa Barbara and California's history, enjoyed plenty of food (you definitely won’t go hungry), and savored some excellent drinks. This tour is well worth the cost to discover more about this beautiful city.
The tour company canceled the night before, citing the unexpected closure of two restaurants on the tour. I feel there are plenty of dining options on State Street. I am still awaiting a refund to my credit card.
Captain Kirk was fantastic. His charisma and the fascinating history he shared about Santa Barbara made the tour memorable. The five food stops were delicious, and we plan to return with more friends and family.
We had a truly enjoyable afternoon with Captain Kirk. The food, wine, and historical insights made for an enriching experience in this unique city. I highly recommend it to first-time visitors who want to savor the essence of Santa Barbara. You won't regret it.
Maddy was a personable and engaging guide, capturing wonderful photos of us that she shared later. She had a strong understanding of the city’s history and the places we explored, and she balanced walking with eating throughout the afternoon. All the food was delicious at each stop.
The guide had a wealth of knowledge, but the food fell short compared to other food tours I've taken. We were served shared portions instead of individual dishes, and the flavors were lacking, aside from the Italian ice. The wine servings were also less generous than I've encountered before.
The food and drink options were abundant and diverse. The pace was just right, and Kirk was an outstanding host. Make sure to skip a meal beforehand, as you'll end up quite full.
A fantastic blend of unique dishes to sample. I appreciated exploring less touristy areas. Kirk shared his extensive knowledge of the city's history.
